  1. Greetings again~ In particular I'm looking at an R2024 Challenger amp, and speaker differentials aside, might it sound anything along the lines of their R2523 Champion, some kickass little firecracker....? Many thanks~ΰ₯πŸ’ƒ
  2. yes I'm aware & thanks,,, Mark's great but I want to know quickly... thnx
  3. Greetings.... Can anyone tell me if this amp employs any negative feedback? Schematics are non existent.... thnx
  4. Thanks again, so just to put a lid on this baby, if I simply wanted to hear just how it sounds w/o the NFB, I could "interrupt" the wire from the spkr jack to the nfb R? And if I liked it, w/o any NFB, I could let it hang as is, perhaps just taping it off, & no othet precautions necessary? thnx
  5. Greetings,,,, just want to know if that single footswitch input on the back is TRS, three ring?? No one who's actively selling one on Ebay or Reverb has any clue.... thnx
  6. Greetings~ I believe I get it... but let's say I just wanna clip the NFB and not have a pot or switch (which I very well might want), could I simply clip either end of the R & leave it taped off, or remove it without completing the circuit that existed previously (w/o that R)? ΰ₯ thnx
  7. And that sound good too!! Greetings.... I've got some real hot 'n nasty amps that roast power tubes; Mesa, Budda, Vox, & Morgan, and I need a great sounding & heat/voltage handling set of tubes.... I recently read about some Preffered Series 7189's that can handle 400+v, and want to know what else is out there that might also be an all-around winner.... Sound, Durability, & won't crap out from the heat. Many thanks~
  8. Greetings,,, I'm in need of a 10" Alnico that lives, breathes, smells, sounds & breaks up like a 12" Blue.... 20-25w range,,,, sensitivity no matter..... Great break-up, but defined, like a Blue~ many thnx, ΰ₯πŸ’ƒ
  9. greetings,, in all the writeups, the use of the Toneprint seems to be tied in to having a computer... Are all these TP settings available in their full capacity from a smart phone as well? thnx
  10. an olde, long gone Fender PS400,, it had a pair of 6550, & a par of 6L6's & tons of other tubes,,,, it weighed just shy of a ton.... left my house once or twice then dumped it.... No regrets but it was certainly uniqueπŸ₯΅πŸ₯΅

    Budda owners/players?

Hey Hoot.... Power Scaling is now very commonplace, especially in the mid to high end range, & if properly done, it's way more than simply a Master..... The London Power Scaling is simply the name of the company that supplies many amp builders with the goods!! Budda is still around, & yes, owned by Peavey,,,, The original Tweed & other early Budda designs are stellar!! Jeff Bober, founder, moved on to found East Amplification..... ΰ₯πŸ’ƒ
  12. Greetings,,,, the neck has been sanded, stained, & I want to finish it for a satiny, protective finish.... I believe I did it once, adding several layer, then after the 1st few applications, I sanded, & repeated.... is this the right stuff? thnx
  13. ..... with what & how would you rig something in order to trigger that Chorale/Tremolo switch with just the touch of your footwear? And w/o drilling holes......thnx all~
  14. Hey D'MACK,, I'm not a 'regular' user of delay... period.... but when I do, it's typical for triumphant leads & effect,, &, for me & my senses, there's that great spatiality in that 800ms or so range.... Yeah, 1 sec is too much, but 600ms ain't enough.... I settled on a Red Witch Violetta~ Thnx ΰ₯πŸ’ƒ
  15. greetings,,,, While I was able to look up the different programs available, eo a pedal, I can't hear them,,, But can anyone in the know tell me if there's any better than decent UniVibe programs for tweaking? I'm ready to pull the trigger on a TC VibraClone cuz it's truly different, though lo-fi as it is.... But in the $150 tops range, is there anything similar yet better, OR can I expect a decent & tweakable Toneprint on the Corona MINI and/or the full sized Corona? Thnx ΰ₯πŸ’ƒ πŸͺ•πŸͺ•
  16. Hiya guys... I think I'm going to settle on a Mr. Black Mini Echo-Delay.... 860ms, small, with a hint of modulation!!

    Budda owners/players?

Greetings,,, Having previously owned an early Twinmaster head, this is my second one, an all original Tweed 1x12 combo from 1995...... I installed a London Power Scaling control that doesn't suck the life out of the tone, like ALL other masters & attenuators.... I spoke with Jeff about it, & i'll never sell it.. ΰ₯πŸ’ƒ
  18. Nuthin' crazy, at least one second delay, but with that swift tape-like DM2 style decay, & smaalll (narrow)....well made.... delay only..... thnx guys & gals ΰ₯πŸ’ƒ
  19. Greetings.... This has been my 4-way switching of choice of late, giving me B-BM-BN-N.... but I now find a need for B-BM-M-N (I have a p/p Vol pot for BN)... How abouts could I make that happen, using my 4-way template? Many thanks....

    What is this pot for...?

So with this here meter, with the amp running, & steering clear of the filter caps, or anything else, I should measure across the 1ohm resistors on each power tube? What setting would I put the meter on? I appreciate your assistance~ kenny πŸ•‰
  21. GreetingsπŸ‘½..... I've circled the pot in question, & clockwise/counter would do what?? Bias adjust? thnx all~πŸͺ•πŸͺ•
  22. Here lies the culprit.... Being a first-time Mogami user, I wasn't aware of this extra clear shielding that makes yΓ  or breaks yΓ !! thnx again~
  23. Well, looks like I won't be winning any soldering run-offs any time soon πŸ€” Even though the one right angle (that i installed) looked good, i simply lop'd it off, & with alligator clips, connection was made, & all controls back to normal... Now to check on any & all cables I had my mits on,,,, Thnx folks!!πŸͺ•πŸͺ•
  24. After changing a pup in my Jazzmaster, I had pulled out a neatly, loosely wrapped, & rarely used Mogami 2524 15ft cable, & I figured I had knocked my tone cap loose upon reinstalling the guard as the tone control was deactivated AND ALSO, the taper on my volume pot resided between 8 & 10.... Anything below 8 was zilch signal,,, Then I picked up 4 more guitars & they ALL had the same reaction,,, NO Tone Control & next to zero Volume sweep,,, until I tried another cable, & (whew) everything came back to life.... How does a quality cable go so horribly bad, & has anyone ever seen this before?? thnx
