>> Last night my son (18) and I were at the supermarket and a song from the mid/late 70's comes on and I say "Oh wow this song reminds me of when I first started listening to music and would go to sleep with an AM radio under my pillow". "He says what's AM radio?" I explain to him about AM and FM and how AM really sucked for music.<<
I did the same thing. "6-transistor" radio. Growing up in Baltimore I would listen to the Orioles games at night. It was the same time I belonged to the Radio Shak "Battery Club". Every month a new 9-volt battery for the radio. Lionel Cartwright had a great song about the AM radio and being a kid.
