  1. Anyone demoed the FG Bomber from Slate? I just got the demo and have been playing around with it on some songs I've already done, it appears to be pretty genuine. Comments?
  2. My name is Jack Lee. I am as green as one could be. I am using Studio One Pro 3. I will be recording songs with my guitars on two (stereo) tracks, voice over the vocals on another track. I am using the x-y mic technique with the guitar tracks set up in stereo, one track L and the other R. After recording the guitar, I save it onto the external hard drive. When I try to upload to SoundCloud, via Studio One, it takes me to the external. I open the folder Songs, which shows me all the songs i have saved. Once open the guitar recording, it shows the recording in Studio One format, however I can't upload that file because when I click on it, it opens up Studio One to listen to the recording. It also shows a Media folder. When I open that, it shows me BOTH the L and R guitar tracks. I can upload one track or the other. How can I upload both tracks together as one stereo recorded track to SoundCloud? Any direction, advice, or help you can give will be greatly appreciated!! Blessings, Lee PS. I am using Focusrit 2i2 and Wi does 7.
  3. I will be recording my acoustic guitar on one track, and then recording vocals after, on a second track. I will be strumming the guitar. Would it be beneficial to record in stereo? If so, what would be the best mic placements for least chance of phasing? If not, where is a good spot to place one microphone? Thanks in advance, Jack

  5. WR, I forgot I will be getting $200 back for the return of the Yeti and some other gear I don't need. I've upgraded the microphones. Based upon your advice, here is what I've come up with. Any further 'tweaking' let me know. http://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=4754&gclid=CLXK0JPtqscCFZSCfgodj20JMg&kpid=104754 http://www.monoprice.com/Product?p_id=602520&gclid=CKCXhMvwqscCFQGVfgodmE0O1Q&kpid=602520 (I have one boom already) http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/AudioBoxUSB (I'm assuming the monitor cables run out from the back and I could also run headphones out the back of this???) http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Pro37 http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Spark http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/AV32 This way, I'll have decent stuff to start with?? 8. I've been researching recording an acoustic guitar, and the general consensus seems to be using two microphones, but the opinions vary on plaement. My questions are this; can you use 2 USB microphones to record an acoustic guitar? If so, would they both record to the same track? Thanks in advance, Jack
  9. I am preparing to select one of these cans for recording only. I've already done a ton of research and have a budget of $100. I have narrowed the search down to these cans. My decision comes down to the final spec and that is which one gives the best seal. If anyone can weigh in with experienced information, I would be eternally grateful. Thanks in advance. Sony MDR 7506 Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Audio-Technica ATH m50x
  10. I cannot find a specific thread or video that gives step by step process of adding effects and instruments. Anyone who is familiar with Studio One, please weigh in. Thanks in advance, Jack
  11. That's WR for all the great information. I amended my post to reflect the fact that I want to purchase from Sweetwater since I have a card from there that gives me 2 years with no interest. I will be doing JUST guitar and vocals, so I don't need any real high end phones. Here's the list I have put together from Sweetwater, and you have already weighed in choosing the AKGs. 1. Audio-Technica ATH-M40x 2. Sennheiser HD 280 Pro 3. Sony MDR-7506 4. Shure SRH 440 5. AKG 240 Thanks again, Jack
  12. I know I will get many different answers, which is what I want so I can see which model comes up the most. Recording acoustic guitar and vocals, and whatever preset instruments I can add via Studio One. Looking for recommended headphones under $100. Thanks in advance, Jack
  13. Hi all. My name is Jack. I am a musician and my gig venue is retirement homes. I've been doing it 8 years and would like to get into recording for 3 reasons: 1. I would like to post clips of my guitars on Acoustic Guitar Forum. 2. My mother is 79 and lives a few states away. Since I do mostly music from her generation, I would like to be able send her songs. 3. I would like to make CDs, sell them for a couple bucks and give the proceeds to the different ministries we have at church. Here is what I have so far; Studio One 3 Artist Version, I have a Blue Yeti and sound pop in route. I want to get the shock mount for Blue Yeti, a deskmount arm for the microphone, and a pair of headphones. Anyone who has some suggestions on shock mount, deskmount arm, or headphones, feel free to suggest. Also, I will have a ton of questions about Studio One if anyone is familiar with it? Thanks, Jack
