Analog flanging via tape machine was well known at the time. You'd get 2 machines going with the same track on both, but one machine would be driven by a 60 Hz generator with an LFO that would be fed to a power amp then to the tape machine power cord. Another way was to drag your hand on one of the tape reel flanges (hence the name).

But using celebrity to foist your views on anybody else puts you on exactly the same footing as Rush Limbaugh. And I just can't respect that.

My oscilloscope has a touch screen interface, and it's perfect for that - - I can drag cursors and waveforms around at will by pointing at them.

But I would think you'd get pretty bad rotator cuff problems in your shoulder trying to do that on a 21" screen for a DAW mixing session.

After being raised with 8 siblings in a 2 bedroom house, I don't think I"ll ever want to move into a house under 1200 sq ft... When I was a kid, I had 7 sisters, and it seemed like at least 3 had PMS at any given moment. In summers I lived outside, coming home mostly for meals.

I still get tense when the people per square yard exceeds 0.3 or so, though that was decades ago.

However, there is such a thing as wretched excess. Why anyone who has no kids needs a 6 bedroom house with 4 car garage is beyond me. Who wants to clean all those rooms full of crap that no one ever uses? It's a bit ridiculous.
