  1. My wife always asks if I can turn it down. I only really have evenings where I can play, but my house is not really good for sound isolation at all. She liked the fact that I play, but our tastes in music could not be more different, and it always seemed like she resented the time I spend playing(which is not a lot). In my future I will have a lot more free time to play. Unfortunately we are divorcing, but I will now have more time for music so that will be a good thing for me.
  2. Very sorry for your loss. Congrats on your new friend! Sometimes that helps ease the pain a bit. They can never be replaced, but a new friend will find her own special place in your hearts.
  3. If you have a wife, pedals can be smuggled into the house in your laptop bag. Guitars can't. Many pedals:thu: yes! Guitars are trickier though agreed, but it's not impossible(at least that's what I have "heard")
  4. The John Carpenter version of "The Thing" scared the living crap out of me when I first saw it - I've never seen it again, though - I wonder if it is really dated now or if it holds up. Just saw it again a couple weeks ago. It seemed a bit dated but it is still pretty classic. It's what you don't see that is so creepy in that movie, and the suspense just builds. I still liked it.

What gives? WHY WILL TC NOT COME OUT WITH AN EDITOR FOR NOVAS?????" Alright. I spoke to Tore, and the reason why we're not making a editor for the Nova is that the Nova doesn't have usb out and we found that very, very few uses Midi to usb. (we tried it in the G major 2 and the demand was almost non existent..) I think that Tore is seriously underestimating the number of Nova users that are dying for this. There is a Facebook users group and a Yahoo users group for the Nova, and I'm sure you know of the end-user that has taken it upon himself to develop his own version of an editor. The Nova is a seriously good piece, but TC should understand that this lack of support gives users a bad taste when they go to make their next purchase. Hell even my old Johnson J-Station has a PC editor. Well thanks for at least listening to my point of view Thomas.
  6. At least Thomas is here as a face for the company. Thank you for that Thomas!
  7. This thread quickly went off the rails. Too bad, I wanted to see mmkco get an answer. He deserves one, he's good people. Thanks! Very nice of you to say.
  8. Didn't realize that wanting to get an answer from TC was going to create such a {censored}-storm. This used to be a pretty cool site...and TC was once a good company to their customers.

  10. Thomas, Why poll the forums to find out what presets people want for the Nova SyStem and then release a limited edition and not even give existing Nova owners(who answered those polls) access to those presets(not even for a price)? We've put up with our novas freezing up, glitches, and having to buy another tuner if we want to track below 440. We have also had to rely on a Nova System group member to get some type of a Nova Editor because TC won't do it. As Nova owner, I feel like a "TC step-child." Thanks for being here to listen. I hope this doesn't fall on deaf ears. TC makes incredible gear, an I have owned a lot of it. Would love to see TC address this and not continue to ignore it.
  11. Nice job! That looks really good. Fiberglass is pretty strong. That should hold up nicely. I like the way that curve turned out. Maybe just a little support underneath, but you might not even need it.
  12. TC is coming out with a software update for it finally! There are also some guys on yahoo groups that are working on an editor that looks to be very cool. Once you can edit the Nova from a PC or Mac, it will be twice as useful. I just got my USB/MIDI cable today and am getting ready to try downloading and installing the update and the editor. I have high hopes!
  13. Much mojo sent. You can beat this! Stay positive and hang on. Best wishes!
  14. I have the TC Nova system and It sounds really good, but for the money the tuner should work better(it won't track below 440) and TC will not come out with a PC based editor or a way to backup your presets.
  15. +1 for the SM57. It's a versitile tool. Great as a starter, and if you decide to expand your mic locker you will still use it a lot. Plus they are built like tanks and last forever. I have a 58 that is 21 years old and I still use it regularly.
