  1. Well that last post got me an upgrade
  2. While I remain a rookie
  3. I climbed from newby to rookie Oh Boy!
  4. In general I dislike pre-damaged guitars but for some reason love this one . It must be the exception that proves the rule
  5. Well at least we can all load up on cheap points here.
  6. Is there a prize for the most points?
  7. Discuss what? The guy is a has been and we all know it. All good things must end
  8. I still check in now and then but have been hanging around TDPRI most of the time. When the site was down for upgrades I wondered if it was down for good this time.
  9. I said a 335 with a bigsby . A Telecaster with a bigsby would be better BUT that would just be so wrong,. I'm OCD about certain things
  10. If I could only have one electric guitar it would be worn out
  11. Everyone needs a nice semi-hollow congarts , It looks pretty nice. .
  12. This is probably stating the obvious but the first thing I would try is using a thin pick or playing closer to the bridge
  13. I’ve tried Nashville tuning. It may give the desired result for recording but makes the guitar rather useless for anything else. I would recommend using a less expensive guitar if you’re going this route
  14. I have a few mediocre guitars, while they are okay guitars in the long run it’s better to save your money and get what you really want.
  15. It seems to me that you’re trying to see how complicated you can make a simple guitar. What do you really expect to gain by choosing between north and south coils, The south might sound good but the north poles will be too far away from the strings and are not adjustable .
  16. You’ve opened up some real possibilities thanks As you suggested , I’ll give it a little time and then choose a name
  17. That's a good thought. Is there a way to buy a blank an print my own decal .
  18. I can't give a technical analysis of the sound except to say that I like it. It's clear and each string is distinct , believe it or not I haven't cranked the amp yet but the middle position has some muscle . I did have a problem that is commonly called stratitis due to the staggered poles in the bridge . After a few adjustments it seems to under control. I am looking for some type waterslide but not sure what, any ideas?
  19. Thanks. I'm getting it dialed in and love the feel of the neck. I'm surprised nobody noticed that I forgot to finish tightening the 2 center screws on the bridge plate before I took the last pic,
  20. Thanks I know you don’t care for Teles so it’s gracious of you to say so
