  1. always wondered bout first time posters myself - bet a few never post more than 2 or three posts maybe even open a new account after a few posts like a ghost !
  2. Hey if it sounds good and plays good for 50 bucks - how can you go wrong !
  3. hey guys, so I'm tired of endlessly searching for THAT guitar that has the tone I really love, because every time I think I find it, I buy that guitar and then decide that there are better sounding guitars out there like 6 months later. so, any tips on improving the tone or just overall sound of the guitar? I'm talking specific brands of strings, getting a new nut, changing the string pegs, ANYTHING!! Thanks! what are you playing that your not happy with it ? - your avatar is of a Telecaster - are you an electric player new to the world of acoustic guitars ?
  4. if it has a decent sound i wouldnt hesitate - whats a 150 CND for any decent guitar you like ! Im a big fan of old Yamahas -
  5. Im probably way off on this but this might be the name of an early Alvarez guitar , or the early makers name ?
  6. Blue Book of Acoustic Guitars - LADY LUCK Instruments currently produced in Korea since 1986. Distributed in the U.S., Europe, and South America by Lady Luck Industries, Inc. of Cary, IL. President Terresa Miller has been offering a wide range of imported, affordable guitars that are designed for beginning students up to working professionals. Lady Luck guitar models are designed in the U.S. (specifications and colors). Lady Luck also offers several models of electric bass guitars along with the line of acoustic and electric guitars. In addition to the Lady Luck and Nouveau brands, Lady Luck Industries also distributes Adder Plus pickups and EV Star Cables. Got this off the net - korean , probably not as bad of a guitar as i thought , depends on the condition, case etc-- congrats go your way
  7. Fishing line makes great guitar strings and its cheaper too ! when a string breaks you can always tie a couple of broken ones together - saves a lot of hard earned cash Buy a Taylor - especially a new one with the Quality fingerjoint on the neck- saves Taylor alot of money and you too ! you can wrap your guitar in a plastic garbage bag and it makes a great slig for over your shoulder and carry bag ( you dont even need a case any more ), for traveling with your D-45 paint your guitar with spray paint ,thats what all the big stars do !
  8. Thanks all for the help ! played a Eastman at the Mayville Guitar show last Saturday - guess im not much of an Arch Top person . Bought a Martin OM-28V ( I am a happy man ! )
  9. http://www.eastmanstrings.com/eastmanguitars/models/ar800c.html I saw a version of this last weekend in Buffalo, with highly figured maple - unfortunately I was unable to play it -going back in a few weeks --does anyone have an Eastman and what do you think about it ? I want to play the AR800-C real bad !- always wanted an old fashioned Arch Top.
