  1. You know, they had the FBI investigate the McCain and Palin rallies and they listened to hundreds of hours of recordings and interviewed a ton of people. They concluded that the whole "kill him" controversy was created by the media. I'm not seeing hardly anyone complaining about the result of the election in a nasty, disrespectful way. Even pighood, as pissed as he is, made sure to let people know that race didn't have anything to do with his frustration. If the positive aspect of this election was that a black man was elected, the negative aspect, to me, is that the media in this country has gone below 3rd world country levels of trustworthiness. The media has been absolutely pathetic. And the fbi has such a great tradition....sorry - but I heard some of the garbage shouted by mccain supporters at these rallies. Whether there was any legitimate threat - that's another matter, but it was pretty bad. How many racists come right out and admit it? Pighood repeatedly, and in a derogatory fashion, refers to Obama's color. He is obsessed with it. He is a racist, pure and simple. I don't take his denials very seriously. the media is always pretty pathetic in this country, but I'm sure that you're viewing it from a different perspective entirely.
  2. So I guess it's not enough that Obama won by a landslide. It had to happen that the people who won now want to characterize everybody who didn't vote for him as a bunch of racists. Some people will never be happy, I guess. Reading comprehension anyone? I didn't see any posts claiming that everyone who didn't vote for Obama is a racist.
  3. I thought it was great when Toyota came into NASCAR and their spokesperson said "It was about time an american made car made its way to NASCAR". Because Camry is being made in America, yet the Ford Focus was being made in Mexico, the Dodge Charger in Canada and whatever Chevy name was being used at the time, wasn't being made in the US either... Anyway, I believe the greatest plus in this election was to see how far the US has gone regarding coming together as people regardless of race or background. That's something awesome to see, and I don't think race was that much of a factor because the racist whites were pretty much counterbalanced by the racist African-Americans and so the race was decided pretty much by what the people wanted to see politically, not racially. So to put a racial spin on the way the south voted when they voted consistently conservative for decades, is completely unfair and frankly, it's unecessary, given how Obama actually won a lot of those states that were deemed racist not too long ago. I wish there was a thumbs down here for these comments I'm seeing. Maybe it's hard for some to believe there's still political conservatives in this country? Edit: I was writing this as you were writing your post, carbon, it's pretty cool we were thinking about the same thing (regarding electing a black president being a huge plus for this election, regardless of the political spectrum). LOL - so you're actually equating whites who won't vote for a black person with blacks who voted for Obama partly or fully because he's black? Unbelievable.
  4. Actually, most of the people who identified race as a deciding factor at the exit polls voted FOR Obama...not against him. Given the fact that people who DON'T vote for someone due to their race tend to not reveal this to pollsters/exit questioners, I'm not sure how revealing this is.
  5. Not in this case no, i'm just saddened it took so many loses to get here though. most of the people in this country are decent, hardworking, open minded people that were sadly just too busy trying to get their bills payed to notice what was going on. Quiet candidly, I think bush should have been hauled out like Mussolini and the fact that it didn't happen only proves that a majority of Americans could have cared less about the corrupt example of failed leadership he is and the innocent lives lost in an illegal war, which the economic collapse is a direct result of. Sure, when you can't afford that frappacuccino anymore it finally starts to affect middle America. we ultimately did this to ourselves and there's no bogeyman rhetoric that will explain it differently. hopefully, just hopefully we can get these 8 years behind us and can finally build a solid foundation for our nation and not forget or repeat the mistakes of them. but the only way that real positive change will happen is if the Obama administration actually FIGHTS for such change against overwhelming corporate influence that affects his own party as well as the Republicans. Bipartisanship isn't going to get us there, and neither is 'bringing us all together'. The lowest common denominator will accomplish nothing.
  6. Drool, let me just say that for a joke, that was so below your humor standard, I didn't even recognize it as such Awwww come on, give me a hug, you big ol' liberal you. I am not a liberal, btw. I appreciate that you rate all of my jokes, and that you judged this one to be substandard. No hug for you, until I get a reprieve from eternal damnation. That can either come from you, or your spiritual daddy.
  7. that's just an example of the polarization in this country that needs to stop. ignore it. Don't you need to take your meds or something? btw - polarization is GOOD. We don't want to hug right wing, bigoted, assholes. We can't and shouldn't all get along. Sometimes compromise and cooperation is NOT the answer.
  8. Can't you even be graceful when victorious? It's obvious my congratulations was nothing but that, and that I'm not trying to stir up trouble. So, you only get the jokes some of the time, apparently. I'm guessing also that you meant 'gracious'.
  9. Well, congratulations to Obama and all his supporters. Does that come from Jesus, or are you speaking for yourself?
  10. BTW, there are several things that Obama voted on that bothered me But 1 large difference- Obama explained his position to his audience when there was significant disagreement and that counts Well, I think that you can tell a lot from the kind of campaign each of them ran. McCain's was a vicious, dishonest, stupid campaign which reminded us of Joe McCarthy. Obama's was much more restrained than it could have been. He didn't put out ads about Palin's connections to the Alaska separatist movement, questioning the official story about McCain's torture and captivity by the Vietnamese, and some of his historical associations. Even if they had exactly the same politics, and even if that absolute idiot Sarah Palin weren't in the mix, Obama would be the better candidate. However, I both think that the overall differences in policy (rather than character) are MUCH smaller than most people realize, but also that in these particular times, it was worth it to vote for Obama anyway. I didn't by the way - California wasn't close, so I can feel good that I voted for Ralph Nader.
  11. I was happy last night, but today, I mourn for for the past 8 years and the lives that have been lost, shattered and ruined. Today, I pray that Americans realize that we are all interconnected, to each other and the other people of this world and to the world itself and that hurting another only brings harm to yourself. And pighood, in 2013, when there are still taxes to pay and weird noises to make and when i settle down to watch the Facts of Life Thanksgiving Day marathon, which is the tradition at our house, they will be a place for you at the table, if you want it. I can't decide whether to weep or puke.
  12. Thank you, America! Once again, the world outside is watching you to learn what can be done and how. Or, perhaps, cowering in their homes as a bomber flies overhead...
  13. Congrats to President Obama! The dems have added to their senate and house majorities as well... Finally, real prospects for a return to actual freedom and democracy! (Not to mention real prospects for a long overdue end to the republicans' horrid fiscal mismanagement, outrageous "war" spending and the violation of civil liberties and freedoms that has occurred over the last 8 years.) ... Before you get too excited, you might remember that Obama voted for the Patriot Act, for letting telecommunication companies off the hook for spying on Americans, etc, etc, etc. It's back to business as usual, with a slightly kinder face.
  14. Congratulations with your new president! May the nay-sayers be proven wrong in every single way . they won't. Obama is smart, but only in his temperament, and the fact that he's a facile learner of corporate/militaristic capitalism. I doubt that he'll have an epiphany while in office, but one can presume that his presidency won't be as vile as the preceding one. I only hope that the 'rumors' of his socialist tendencies are true, but there is no evidence of that.
  15. oh no hammer please dont hurt em. he's black and that scares neo-conservatives. thems pesky negroes be going to run amok and rape our white women. Actually, it's kind of fun to be on his ignore list. You can post anything you want about him without being attacked by baby talk. I can stand being insulted, or argued with, but baby talk gives me ebola.
  16. BTW smartass...I voted for a black man for senator of MY state in 2006. So knock off the racist {censored} please. Tell me how the above video makes sense to you in the New Omerica. yeah, but Obama is 'uppity'.
  17. Too right I am. My country just perished. Unbelievable. 100/1 if a white candidate with exactly the same policies were elected he'd be cranky, but not with the psychosis. There is nothing, of course, to indicate any of his ravings about Obama are the slightest bit true, so you gotta wonder where this is really coming from.
  18. THE PIGGY IS ANGRY!!!!!!!! VERY VERY VERY ANGRY!!!!!!! Makes me think that maybe I'm underestimating Obama.
  19. A great victory for islam and marxism. RIP USA 1776-2008. What a sorry guy this is....
  20. dude, put your tinfoil nightcap on and go to bed, it'll be better in the morning.. No it won't, for him. Obama will still be black.
  21. Yeah, I'm going to call it for HCKSS. The messiah wins. I hope I'm wrong about him. Of course you're wrong about him. Don't believe the hype - either good or bad. He's just another war mongering, corporate kissing, middle of the road democrat. Better (or less bad) than McCain, and Palin is in a class by herself. But you know I think this already. In any case, I'm 100% confident that you're wrong about Obama.
  22. Way too early to predict, but McCain has 13 electoral votes to 3 for Obama Keep dreamin'
  23. Azathoth would make a great U.S. leader...talk about "crawling chaos"... Cthulhu can be counted on for majority votes from states with a large number of Deep Ones. I always felt a close personal kinship with yog sothoth.
  24. by the way- I am a 6'3" 350 lb I dwarf you, punk. I stand 7'9", and I weigh 644 pounds dripping wet.
  25. .... You're one of those guys that I'm afraid I'm gonna hear about in the news someday, and not for good reasons. You know, I just have to say that I think that this is totally uncalled for. I see this over and over again with you - you claim to have this personal relationship with god, yet you are one of the meanest people on this forum.
