  1. If you can't find a better place to play, go to the music department of your school, make friends with a professor or clerk, and use one of the practice rooms when its not occupied to make a lot of noise. As a student at the school, you should feel entitled to use those soundproofed rooms as a resource. Plan B, which is what I'd do, is buy a jamhub. (I've never tried one but I'm gassing for one.) They never had anything like that at the music building at my university. They had a guitar program but it was all classical guitar.
  2. Oh yeah, there was this guy that lived like two halls below me that had a Line 6 amp and a Gibson SG. I used to come down and jam with him sometimes, but I could play circles around this guy so he got tired of jamming, because I was way better than him.
  3. My Freshman year in college I did not play much guitar. I had my Fender US Lone Star Strat (wish I still had it), and my Guild D-25 acoustic. During the Orientation week my mom and dad drove me down to Guitars Etc. in Tucson, AZ and I talked them in to buying me a Fender Champ 25 amp. That was my main amp throughout my college days. I sold it a few years ago for like $50 I was able to get away with playing during the day while a lot of people were in class. I *COULD NOT* play in the evenings. I *COULD NOT* play if my roommate was around. I sometimes didn't go out on weekends so I could play guitar. I got tired of that pretty plain Fender Champ 25 distortion sound so I bought a Boss GT-3 to add some different OD tones along with Delay, Chorus, Reverb, Flange, etc... I bought the GT-3 for $350 and charged it to my Capitol One credit which was my first ever credit card that I got earlier that year with a $500 limit. I canceld the credit card 7 years ago and I sold the GT-3 for like $200
  4. Don't like the necks. I like the neck on mine. Mine is a neck through.
  5. CL...........(for the 2nd time) "Still available? Any electronic or cosmetic issues? More pictures. Thanks". Me................(I attached additional pics) "Both the SG Junior & SG Standard are still available. Which SG are you interested in? At worst, there are pick swirl marks. No issues. Where are you located? Lou" CL.........."SG Standard. Are you interested in any trades?" I never mentioned trade in my original CL ad....Me....."I
  6. they wrote me about an epi goth V i was selling. it turned out it was legit and they actually payed me what i was lookin for it that was a deal where i got that HUGE coffin case and the flying V for 200$ kept the HUGE coffin case for my bass (its the only case that will fit it thats not custom ) and they bought the guitar off me for 200. case for free wo0t I would never send off a guitar without having the money first.
  7. Yeah, true. BTW, how's that Jeff Beck Esquire of yours? It's a really cool guitar. Will try to post pics later today
  8. I'm as big of Clapton fan of anyone but IMO his last great studio album was Journeyman. From The Cradle had his best guitar work in years but as far as great songs song I think Journeyman is the last great Clapton album. I think a lot of his recent albums are garbage. Reptile was decent but nowhere near as good as Journeyman and Pilgrim was crap.
  9. I used to steal picks all the time from music stores when I was a kid.
  10. I stole a line 6 variax footswitch from guitar and keyboard city. Does that count? btw: I hope the statute of limitations is up
  11. Aren't these guitars worth like 60 bucks? I bet mine is worth 20 bucks, but if I get famous it will be worth millions.
  12. Here's an old picture. I haven't played this one in years. I bought this guitar several years ago at a garage sale. It's a Joe Perry Les Paul. One of the cool things about this guitar is it has a push/pull wah
  13. This is an Eric Clapton gold leaf stratocaster. In the late 1990's Eric played one of these.
  14. Here we go with unnecessary semantics. The Hendrix estate never authorized Fender to do a Jimi Hendrix signature guitar. It's legal mumbojumbo. Tribute model in this case is a signature guitar. I'm not sure what you mean by that. Fender actually did a few tribute guitars to Hendrix. The first was a custom shop strat that was supposed to be a replica of the guitar he played at the Monterey show. The one Bbreaker has was based on the guitar he played at Woodstock although they put out a few of them in sunburst which are very rare. Then they discontinued the Woodstock one and came out with the "Voodoo Stratocaster" which was offered with either maple or rosewood fingerboards and came in Sunburst, Olympic White, or Black. From what I understand at some point the Hendrix estate pulled out of the project which resulted in the Voodoo stratocaster being discontinued and Fender is now making that guitar in mexico and calling it the "Reverse Prototype Stratocaster" or something to that effect. I have the Jimi Hendrix Voodoo model, and the Jimi Hendrix Flying V. The Jimi Hendrix Flying V certificate is signed by Janie Hendrix so I guess it's the Janie Hendrix signature model.
