Are Polywebs physically different looking than Nanowebs?

I overheard someone telling someone else at the guitar store yesterday that they come stock with Elixer strings. Today I looked at an Alvarez and they appeared to have coated strings (the wound strings looked almost white). However, don't Taylor's come with Elixers? Why do the Taylor strings look different than the Alvarez strings? The strings on the Taylor looked more like normal strings, and the strings on the Alvarez guitars looked white-ish.

It's kind of predictable that that all of the metal-heads have black as at least one of the choices (or several shades of black as multiple choices....).

You know you don't have to be totally gloomy. Get a daphne blue or fiesta red or something....

Same as on women...(vintage) blonde.

Actually, brunettes are better. But I thought that I'd be clever.

But I do like blonde guitars the best (Tele's, Strat's, LP's...whatever).

I don't care for butterscotch blonde though. I like vintage and honey blondes.
