In all honesty our stories were not as great and MrKnobs did some excellent writing. His story was far superior to mine. I was just having fun with self pitty.

One time when I was playing in Chicago I noticed I was getting the eye from a very good looking young lady. When our set was done I introduced myself and asked her if she would like to go back stage. She responded yes with a big grin..the kind you get when you know something is gonna happen. Well anyway I take her back and introduce her to the rest of the band and then I show her some of the gear (she did not care much about the gear). I then moved on to a quiet more private room. There she proceeded to tease me like there was no tomorrow. She rubbed the special place as she teased me with dirty talk. She proceded to give me sexy kisses (you know what I mean). She slowly unbuttoned my jeans and proceded to massage my happyland. After a few moments she went down for a little face time. I leaned back against the wall (there was not chairs in the room) and was enjoying the show. SHe displayed her talents but I wanted more..I was in heat. I stoped her turned her around undid her pants and went in for the glory. She was definitly into it and she was clearly enjoying the pounding. She was on all fours and I was in happyland. Then she said stop..I could not believe it she said stop! I asked her what was wrong and she said she could not continue...I was stunned and a bit less than happy. I asked her why and she told me she had a boyfriend...being a young man I said I don't care...then she told me that he was getting her a drink when I approached her and took her backstage. Feeling blue (in more ways than one) I pulled up my pants and told her good bye.

....I feel like chopped liver...... Walks away with head down.

I think he meant in general use, remember he is just learning how to use the compressor.

I reccomend listening to the others, read up and learn what each thing does, then play with it you will find that individual tracks can also be compressed, in this case less is usualy more. Never overcompress you will end up with a wall of punchy crap (I have done this). Learn and play around, once you understand the functions you can start to find settings that you find pretty standard (with minor tweeks). I would write down settings that work for you. I am so lazy or afraid to mess them up that I use a separate compressor for each thing with settings that I generally find standard for each of my applications (yours will be different).

I like preamps that fall off of the truck.

Are you crazy! You are going to have to spend some money and actualy buy one. Or steal one. You can't just get a plug in for a preamp...Do you even know what a preamp is? Or what they do? Sorry if this seems mean, but you may want to get a book or 2 on recording.

Sorry, I have no pick of the ex-boss. I have pics of the wife (I will not share them). See I told you the story would not unfold into a BS tale. I wish I could have said that it led to a threesome or something but that did not happen.

Conclusion Well several months had past and the office fling was long done. I was still happily dating the same girlfriend and everything was going great. My band Quixotic Rage had a gig in Detroit (an area we usualy play). My girlfriend and several of my friends went to the show to give support. My band was playing (I wish I could say we were awsome, but in reality we had a pretty mediocre night). Well anyhow my best friend was standing next to my girlfriend and then that is when it happend (so my friend explained). My girlfriend said something to the effect that I was good and the girl next to him said that is not all he was good at. Yes it was my former boss. After some heated words and a fist fight the ex-boss and girlfriend were thrown out. We were never asked to play there again. After a explaining that I did not cheat on her and that yes I did a scum ball thing at work she actualy decided to keep me around. Just for the record I did end up getting married to the girlfriend and we are still happily married. The end.

Sorry, I have been very busy, I promise I will have it soon, unfortunatly I am sure that it wont be as cool as some other stories we have read.
