  1. Batteries.... well, yeah, there's issues with batteries, just like there's issues with all the other power solutions out there. The recent Volto release showed that batteries are not foolproof. a) isolation of outputs, while theorhetically possible, is rarely done due to increased component count and cost. b) due to (a) you can still get noise on daisychained lines. c) Lithium cells still demonstrate 'memory' and 'soft' isuues, even tho they are a touch better than rechargeable gel-cells and NiCads. A battery's depth of recharge and lifespan can be decreased by leaving them on the charger longer than necessary. d) and as seen on th eVolto, even tho the battery itself may be rated at 2 ampere/hours, that doesn't mean you can rely on it running a 500 mA device for 4 hours, trouble-free (Pedaltrain's online FAQ and owner's manual say as much). Anyway, good luck to all you battery-users out there.
  2. As one who is trained in the 'classic biological sciences'. it is interesting to see how the term gender has evolved. In the days of Mendel, gender was synonomous with the male/female anatomic categories. Gender has now morphed into all that V is referring to. Interesting: "natural gender" and "All gender is learned". If you can take a few moments to explain this to me, I would be appreciative. Seriously. Im not trying to be a jerk or a radicalist of an sort....I prolly just haven't read enuf.
  3. This guy. I'm a frikkin djenious at 5 AM in the morning. The rest of the day I'm a dickdragging, moronic caveman...just a slave to Madison Avenue stereotypes and unable to perceive that fact.
  4. Gender A is always going to look for attributes in Gender B qhich they find attractive. Period. As long as Gender A's opinions are taken en masse, and individuals are held up as examples of those attributes, then a significant number of Gender B's population will 'feel the pressure' to be like that example. It does go both ways, and the phenomanon is not limited to our culture. It will probably always be this way, as long as we are social animals. To blame one gender for something that both do is myopic at best.
  5. One important note: early 80's Foreigner was one LOUD frikkin live band....much more than your average white band.
