I built a Carvin Bolt once but I don’t think they do kits anymore. I sprayed it with nitro and could have done a better job, but it still plays and sounds great.

I sold an awesome MIJ Blue Flower tele on Reverb. Shipped it FedEx and it never arrived. Buyer never got it. Tracking says delayed and FedEx told me it never left Hagerstown, MD. I opened a claim, but this is a somewhat expensive item, and it wasn’t dropped off at the delivery address and stolen. Will FedEx pay out, or will they just tell me to F off? I wonder if their employees routinely steal cool stuff like this. Anyway, I am highly pissed off about it especially because I shipped a more expensive Les Paul Standard about a month ago with FedEx and had no problems. How can they just lose or steal your stuff?

Paracho, the small city I mentioned, is in the sate of Michoacan.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ParachoDangerous, as anywhere else in Mexico right now but don't stray off the beaten path and you should be alright. Michoacan is one of my favorite places here and I travel to the capital (city of Morelia) often.Paracho, the guitar city has grown since I first visited and is certainly a tourist stop but if you take your time, you can still find the small, one or two craftsmen shops, hidden between the larger factories.http://www.hechoenparacho.com/deletedscenes.html
I bought a flamenco guitar in Paracho about 10 years ago. It was $320. I think I got a deal, as it's a very good guitar. Sorry to hear about the crime situation as most of that part of Mexico was very safe 10 years ago.

I don't have any, but I like the artwork. Sometimes, I'd like to go up to someone with nice work, and ask to take a closer look, but it's not really socially acceptable, so I don't do that.

I played a lot my first two years in the dorms. Dinner time when everyone is at the dining hall is OK. Friday and Sat. after 6 are fair game as the dorm will get loud with people raging. We played pretty damn loud sometimes and nobody cared.

Since were all among friends here. I must confess I stole a guitar once. I was at Sam Ash store and had bought a Fender Squire Strat. At the time it was all i could afford. There was a guy in there and he was buying a nice MIA Fender..I guess the jealousy got the best of me.. I followed him to his car and looked around. No one was around so I took my Squier and swung it like a baseball bat..and knocked him out. Dude went down like a sack of bricks..I grabbed the guitar and got the hell outta there..thats was about 7 years ago..

... just plugged mine in for the first time in about 10 years.It's a early Taiwanese manufactured revision 2 circuit model with the Rohm BA728N opamp...when used sparingly it can sound really great especially with a compressor in front of it (a Diamond Compressor in this case)Yes it can get really shrill at the extremes but used for a boost and slight dirt it can get some great sounds...I pulled it out initially to tear it apart and do some mods on it... but I think i might keep this one stock and pick up another used one cheap and mod that instead...I know it has a bad rep... but it really doesn't suck as much as people make it out to.The Metal Zone i had in the same box on the other hand... worthless.
Both are great when modded. You really need to get rid of the silicon diodes in the Metal Zone to make it not suck.
