The M177 was my favorite vocal mic 'til I could afford something better. Joel Thanks for the reply! The CAD has some great reviews. Would it work for recording an acoustic too?

Hmm i've heard such variable reports with the MXL mics...some say they are decent and then others absolutely hate them.
  4. Hey guys! I've tried to search on the forum regarding an appropriate mic for recording an acoustic guitar and really couldn't figure out a definitive answer since every thread ended up with seperate choices so i started a new thread. Anyway right now i'm using a Shure SM57 to record vocals and my acoustic and want to upgrade to a decent condenser mic in the 100-150 range. Any recommendations?
