    Casio SK-5

If it were lost or stolen I would do all I could to find mine or another + the person who stole it. Then I would proceed to beat them to a pulp with it & when finished turn it on & continue using it. I've had this since I was 5 yrs old. I'm 19 as of this writing. So you could say I've been playing(this) for 14 years. I don't have any other beginners' level instruments like this. As far as keyboards go, I've got a Yamaha CS-20M analog synth, Wurlitzer 120 electric piano & a Wurlitzer 214 classroom electric piano. I've also got a collection of guitars & amps. This was really the first instrument of any kind I ever had. Everything else I've pursued musically, I pretty much owe to this thing. I've always had fun with it. I just love this thing(I know, I know, NERD!!!). It's fun to use the sampler to mess around with playing things backwards. I have a tape somewhere around the house from about 9 or 10 years ago where I sampled power supply hum from an old radio, a screwdriver banging a metal bookcase & an explosion type mouth-made sound. I was making industrial music before I knew what it was! You just have to have a certain sense of humor to appreciate an old SK-5. This is the kind of thing that Beck would probably dig. It's helped me make music for 14 years and still going strong. If you can find one of these reasonably, don't hasitate.
  2. Been playing for 4 1/2 to 5 yrs. I've got the instruments listed above plus a pair of Fender Coronados(6 & 12 strings), an Epiphone EA-32RVT Comet amp, a Magnatone MP-3 amp. If it were lost or stolen I would try to find another one. I got this amp because it was only $10. I figured it'd be a good easy fix to resell. A good easy fix it was, but it did not quite make it to be resold because it's tone suited me too well. These are great little amps to practice or record with. Old Epihone & Gibson amps are truly some of the best vintage bargains available now. If Fender made these, they'd probably be selling in NM condition for $700. What's in a name? Just the name & the price.

    dillion DLP600GT

I've been playing now for 4 1/2 years. I've also got a Dillion Mosrite copy. I've got a Japanese Fender 50s reissue hardtail strat, Fender 6 and 12 string Coronados & Cortez ES-175 copy. If it were stolen or lost I'd go right back to Ben at Guitar Finder and get another one. I compared it to an Epiphone Gold Top and there was no question that the Dillion was the one. The Dillion especially had much cleaner fret work than the Epiphone. The only other thing I wish the Dillion had was a Bigsby. Dillion is the best bargain around right now as far as I'm concerned. Their quality just seems to be much more consistent than Epiphones & Fender Mexico. Not just the Gold Top & Mosrite copies. Their PRS, tele, tele, ES-335, strat, Les Paul copies all are. I've tried them all out & if I had adequate space & finances I'd get them all & get them from Ben at Guitar Finder(www.guitarfinder.com). They're an independent music store in Columbia, MO and Ben is great to deal with.

    Magnatone MP-3

I've been playing for between 4-5years. I've got a pair of 60s era epiphone amps. One's an EA-50T. The other's an EA-32RVT. Both of them using single 10"s. Also the guitars listed above. It's a unique enough amp and probably had a short enough production time that tracking another one down if it were lost or stolen would be difficult. If it were I would probably try to track down a vintage Standel. I like everything except the crap tremolo. As I said earlier the reverb setup is very unique. I chose this one because it was in an auction where most of the other people were more interested in the office furniture & I picked it up for $22.50. I've never seen anything like it. Extremely versatile. The only thing I wish it had would be the original footswitches. One of the most unique amps I've run across. I nice alternative from all of the normal Fenders, Marshalls & Peaveys.
  5. I've been playing for 4 years. I've owned an Explorer, ES-125, ES-175 copy, USA standard strat, 50th anniversary tele, and various other guitars. If it were stolen I would find the person, strap them to the floor run wires from various metal parts on my hot and running amps while randomly changing the ground switches until he is an ex-human. As before, the only thing wrong currently is the shielding situation.

    Cortez 175 Copy

I've been playing for 3 years. I own many different guitars including a Fender Coronado II and a Gibson Explorer XPL. If it were stolen or lost I'd definitely try to find something similar. I've never seen another one of these. The one thing I wish it had was a Bigsby vibrato instead of that 175 tailpiece.

    Fender Blender

I play about any type of music that strikes me as interesting (pretty much everything except new country and teen crap pop). I've been playing for 3 years. It's a nice kind of Hendrix-like destroy-your-sound type of distortion. Other than this I pretty much just crank up tube amps for distortion. If it were lost or stolen I doubt I would since finding one for $5 is a pretty bizarre event

    Vox VT15

I've been playing for 3 years. I've played lots of guitars and this is still one of the most versitile I've seen. If it were lost of stolen I don't know where I'd buy another one. It has killer body styling, the most unique looking of any Explorer I've ever seen. If anything, It would be great if it had another tone & volume control for even more variations in sound.
  9. I play about anything except new country or teen pop. It's good for experimenting with new and bizarre styles. it's fun to produce sound effects with. If it were stolen or lost I would probably go for an EH Frequency Analyzer.
  10. I've been playing for 3 years I've never found another guitar so limited in features that is so versatile.
