  1. Please check the link in my sig for my stuff....feedback greatly appreciated. omg, amazing! Great sound, composition, voice etc 9/10 imo
  2. 2 short metal clips, fire away: http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=769804&songID=8700562 http://www.soundclick.com/bands/page_songInfo.cfm?bandID=769804&songID=7379323 As for me DrumJamMastered id lacking a bit of low-end - if you know what I mean On the other hand, guitars need some low-frequency cut, because sometimes they happen to rumble imo (I don't know if 'rumble' is a good word - you know, the situation when you have too much bass in your guitar tone, and it starts to occasionally overcome the whole mix with low punch, especially when palm muting ;p) MetalSample is really decent. I love the squelches in the intro! Guitars sound nice (imo better then in DrumJamMastered), you can feel the groove and punch and crunch and it's bloody heavy! One thing I didn't like is the snare. It seems more like a buzz for me rather than a heavy-turbo-mega-metal-from-satan's-cave! I'd like it to be more 'belly' (you know - more like metallica's st.anger snare but not that belly ). But it's only my opinion The kick gives a lot of attack to the whole fragmet, and it stands nicely with the guitars. 8/10 imo That only my own opinion - it is probably not very professional, or even not professional at all, just saying what I think
  3. Hello all. Looking for some opinions on a mix I've done. It's a metal/hardcore sample that I'm looking to get picked apart by some expert mixing engineers :-) Really want to improve my mixes, but seem to be at a stand still. http://www.mediafire.com/?0mkmnjhndm0 Thanks to all that are willing to help. As for me, dizzykitty is quite right, but I think only slight change in volume is needeed. But I'd like to hear some more prescence in guitars if I were you. I like rythm section work, and overall "low-end" of this recording, but I think guitars should be mixed slightly more slectively, if you know what I mean But I think all the stuff like reversed humms in the intro or the electronical sounds - just brilliant! That's my opinion - I'm not an expert though
  4. www.myspace.com/shapesofgrey my bad, im used to being on UG, with links all over the place I'm not a advanced in mixing, but my suggestions: Drums sound very raw imo, especially in the harder part I think snare is a bit too much 'in front' (if you know what I mean ;p) for me. I also don't like the distortion guitar sound. It seems more like a buzz, than, the real rythm guitar. Lead guitar is kinda cool imo, as well as acousting one. And i like the vocals - they sound great for me - like you know what you're singing, and why you do it... A bit of level equalization should work, I think anyways, a decent song, I like it
