Thanks gitnoob....luckily the "ring" situation has been taken care of a few years ago - so don't have to worry about those expectations!!! I did think about that though! If I were you, I'd ignore all of the male input on this thread and wait for some female input. If she likes jewelry, then a ring box might be a bad idea. Set her expectations for a ring, and she'll go all "WTF is this?! A guitar pick?! Where's my GD ring!?" on you.

I like the dressing up the git idea and leaving at front door.....I can use the "ding dong ditch" method my kids just taught me about earlier this week. ring doorbell and run..............

Gift is for significant other.....so I am leaning towards the ring box with pick.....I happen to have both - hide the git in closet. Lots of great suggestions & ideas!!!!!

I am giving a git as a gift - I want it to be a surprise...not a huge box. What are some creative ways to gift it? A small box with a pick in it? a small box with a photo of it??? Suggestions? I want something fun!!
