  1. Well, I love U2 and the Edge enough for both of us. I think he's one of the most talented guitarists in rock history. You hear him play and you instantly KNOW it's him. There aren't too many guitarists out there who can claim that. For sure he is one of the most recognizable guitarists out there. Also one of the most imitated, so obviously there are a lot of people out there who love him/them. I am far more interested/impressed by songwriting then playing so hearing his story about Sunday Bloody Sunday (just about the only song I do like by U2) was probably my favorite part of the whole movie.
  2. Just guessing, but it's probably because he stopped reading when you said I read the word "hate" and I stopped reading shortly after. So I had missed the "redeeming quality" after that. Sorry. I forget to not be honest on message boards cause people get all sensitive when you don't like something they do. Didn't say they were bad, just don't like them. But, like I said. I wound up liking that he was there. He was pretty interesting.
  3. and away we go... I have the feeling you're refering to my post, but I don't get why since the point of it is that I was wrong for thinking he doesn't deserve to be with the other two.
  4. you should start a collection of repeated comments edge sucks Jack is a poseur Jimmy is a god why did they choose XXX to be in it with YYY and ZZZ? after about ten threads, folks are running out of new stuff to say........... I did think the Edge was an odd choice to mix with the other two based on a pure talent level (and the fact that I kind of hate U2), but then he actually had some of the best stories. His songwriting story was pretty awesome the way it ends with him playing Sunday Bloody Sunday in front of a huge crowd. It moved me.
