The wood is basically the same, its everything else on jap jags the sucks. The only parts of my jap jag that is jap fender now is the neck and body, i replaced all else with AVRI parts. Now its equall to AVRI IMO.Just buy the AVRI. It less head {censored} of rebuilding it all.
i'd stick with MIJ or CIJ rather than "jap", doesn't surprise me you'd use it though

Obviously the MIAs will be better made but the MIJs are still well made and my only gripe would be the necks in which the MIAs are so much better, haven't been very impressed with the CIJ guitars i've used though compared to the older models :|

This sucks but Paypal should come through because unless he has proof he sent it there is nothing he can do and usually a default refund is given if he doesn't respond
