Spank a B3, in D Dorian

My take. Some of the timing is sloppy.

Note to self: Do NOT post music on this forum that I haven't listened to sober yet. It helps to know what the correct chords are. I suck at figuring that out myself. Anyway here's a better take with piano and B-3.

Piano version In the organ version I didn't acknowledge the major-ness of the B section, playing only notes in the Em blues scale pretty much the whole song. On the piano version I acknowledge the major-ness of the B section and in fact play chords thru it E -F#m A-E.

My B-3 take Might do a piano version later.

The organ was especially enjoyable playing on all white keys

The B3 is an actual Hammond B3. The Rhodes is not a real Rhodes, it's an Alesis QS-8.

I'm working on it. I'll be using the bass&drum one and adding two keyboard parts: a Rhodes and a B3.

E7#9? When I first saw this thread there were no chords posted and the B section sounded to me like Bm so that's what I played.

Yeah. I felt the need to play thru the whole song. And as a result repeated myself a lot. Glad you held back.If I was playing this song in my band I would insist on taking no more than an 8 bar solo.

You could liken the difference between playing piano vs organ to the difference between playing electric vs acoustic guitar.

Thanks Anton but you did as good a job as I could have. I much more pianist then organist as evidenced by the previous jam where everyone who commented liked the piano version better.
