  1. When post bots have conversations with each other. It's sad but kinda funny too.
  2. I owned a Les Paul Jr with a 498 humbucker for a while. Great little rock guitar but that's not what I play.

  4. Good luck. ACME's quality slipped to even greater lows after it went offshore with its operations some years back. If its true that they are switching back to domestic production, like you claim, than we can look forward to a return to the merely shoddy and unpredictable performance that ACME was known for during it's glory years. Our products are manufactured using only the best illegal immigrant labor in the alley behind a Thai restaurant in Encinada. They will fail unpredictably and with catastrophic results. Rest assured, we make only the finest quality junk available on the market at any price. Excuse me, I need to go see what just exploded. It looks hilarious.
  5. I feel a groundswell. So, JJ is gonna allow pron, too?
  6. If there are no anvils at hand, one does what one must. Beats a parachute pack filled with dirty silverware in any case. As chairman of Americans For Parachute Packs Filled With Dirtu Silverware (AFPPFWDS) I must register my protest. Our products have several distinct advantages over the trite anvil or piano dropped on the head. Portability, cost and surprise, of course, are the hallmarks of a great PPFWDS attack. Once you've tried one of our great offerings, we feel that you'll never return to traditional toon attacks again. In fact, we just signed a new distribution agreement with Acme, so you'll be seeing our wares in such new films as Daffy Does The Dishes and Fork You Bugs Bunny! Thank you, Chester Miltdown, Chairman AFPPFWDD, Ltd
  7. Name calling and shopping! Gee whiz, is it really that hard to understand? Hey dip{censored}, what time does Guitar Center open?
  8. I just come here to look at guitar pr0n and argue with dumbasses.. This could be a knitting forum for all I care. Well, cept knitting pr0n is probably pretty boring. But I bet the old ladies on there would really put a good argument if you got em riled up. Knitting sucks. Crochet is where it's at, bitch. If you don't like it, I'll shove those stupid needles up your ass.
  9. Damn. Now I gotta go poop. Thanks a lot.
  10. Actually, yours is more important, by far. Carry on, songwriter. Thing is, I'm not diggin the blend pot wiring setup. I'm gonna go back to regular tele wiring. I guess it's popular cuz it works, ya know? Anyway, There are saints among us still Working with pneumatic drills.... I dunno, that second line seems forced, doesn't it?
  11. I'm sorry. What were we talking about?
  12. I rewired my tele tonight. Then I played it. Came up with two new song ideas, too. I been on a spiritual kick of late...My titles... Walking With Saints The Hand Of God...that's gonna be really cool one with an ending you never suspected. I'm excited.
  13. The guitars have been recovered http://www.mercurynews.com/news/ci_20416755/police-recover-tom-petty-stolen-guitars Excellent news! EG
  14. Doesn't look like they really care that much about getting the guitars back..... one of those guitars alone is worth more than the reward..... cheap, spoiled, out of touch multi-multi millionaires. Some light reading for both of you. http://www.missmanners.com/ EG
  15. does it also have something to do with how you set up your guitar? For example, low action with some string buzz? This may sound like a stupid question... I'm kinda new to teles myself. When I first picked up my son's I was amazed how twangy it was even unplugged. My Les Paul, unplugged, has that thick midrange growl to it and that's how it sounds plugged in. The tele twangs unplugged and that's how it sounds plugged in. There's a lot more to it than just the pickup, but that angled single coil under the metal bridge has a lot to do with it. EG
  16. A lot of it is in YOUR hands, but there's a combination of things that do it. Metal bridge sourrounding an angled single, scale length, maple neck, etc. You will likely lose some twang by switching but not all. Work on your twang pickin and you can get most back. OR if you prefer, Leo made a deal at the crossroads... EG
  17. Killer amps! Congrats. Nice playing, too! EG
  18. Kinda cool. To me, the whole idea of a Junior is "stripped down and raw," though. This kinda has a split personality. Maybe it'd be great for fusion work. EG
  19. Yeah, they have 3 full stacks, then you read this and you find out everybody is wearing an in-ear monitor and that they use iso cabs too. I saw Robert Plant last year. Buddy Miller did have a pair of Swarts on stage, mic'd, but no stacks. Yes had a pair of Line 6 combos and Styx had a wall of fake Marshalls. No real stacks anywhere. PA systems have made them irrelevant, methinks. EG
  20. I love the tone of my Tech 21 Oxford. If I got to use that, I don't need no stinkin' amps. I have a friend who runs a Tech 21 Blonde, a couple of effects pedals and into the PA. He sounds killer every night. His whole rig consists of a guitar case and a duffel bag. EG
  21. Chicken foot? Is that kind of like a club foot? Not sure how a chicken foot or club foot would affect anyone's guitar playing.... See, it causes you to bang your foot in odd rhythms. Makes for some killer syncopated riffs. EG
