I'm almost 30 and I think my love of metal has expanded rather than shrunk. Say 4-5 years ago, I was listening to so much pop and alternative that I thought I would never change. But I still love other music genres as much. Metal bands I've discovered in the last 2-3 years: Judas Priest Iron Maiden Angel Witch Slayer Exodus Testament Flotsam and Jetsam Jag Panzer Morbid Angel all cool {censored} in my book.

I've been playing since 1994, but when I went in college I wasn't really interested in guitar. When I was, I'd pull out my acoustic. It was much more practical. That said, I always turned up my music real loud and that would annoy the hell out of my fellow dorm people.
