  1. I had a bad experience with something packed and sent by a UPS store once. I bought 5 clarinets for rebuilding from a guy. He dropped it off at a UPS store to be packed and shipped, and UPS lost them, the store got two of the 4 or 5 boxes the guy left with them mixed up. I ended up with a saxophone that was supposed to go to someone else, and I managed to get that straightened out and to the right person, but they never did track down my clarinets, and I am STILL trying to get something out of them for a claim, after nearly two years. The problem is, since it was shipped by a UPS store, the fine folks at UPS keep referring me to the store instead of UPS insurance. I know at this point that I am probably never going to see anything out of this, although because they were worth over $1,000 bucks to me in rebuilt condition, I am thinking about filing a claim with my local court and making the people from the UPS store come here to defend themselves just to be a pain.....

  2. I will say this, throwing the case out is completely unnecessary.... any music store that is a full line store, meaning they sell school band stuff as well as guitars, should have a bottle of "case fresh" on hand. It's a neutralizer that is sold by Allied Supply among other places, meant for musty horn cases. It will take the smell out of darn near any case. I have sprayed cases that were so bad with mildew that they set my allergies off, but after spraying with case fresh and setting them where they can air out for a day, they were completely usable.

The links are to the thread on the guitar shown that I have up in the classifieds section. Feel free to check my eBay feedback for reference under the username "cowabungamusic". PM me if you want more info or if you have any questions... thanks!

  4. I have a pair of AMR/Peavey ERC-12 condensor microphones with Peavey hard cases for sale. These are the short pencil-type condensors that Peavey made when they still made their higher-quality AMR recording line. I'd like to get $100 shipped (to the USA, PM me for shipping cost to anywhere else) for the pair of them. PM me if interested, thanks!

  5. See my ebay link in my sig. I have a black Russian Small Stone for $50.00 shipped, and a bunch of guitar tab books up right now, as well as a 8-channel powered PA mixer. The small stone was something I picked up for myself but then decided it's not my thing. Since I'm a dealer for them it's still got full warranty and has the wooden box, plastic bag, and papers it came with.

I still also have my Fostex R8 analog 8-track reel to reel recorder in near mint shape for sale, $400.00, with original box, manual, remote extender cable and rackmount ears.

One pair of Rola Celestion G12-50 speakers in good shape, these came out of an Ampeg @x12 cab, they're 15-ohms. $75.00 shipped for the pair.

Also, I have a new in the box Rio Grande Texas Humbucker, retails at $106, I'll sell it for $80.00 shipped in the USA. I'm a Rio dealer, I normally can beat all the advertised pricing on them, so if you're looking for something, feel free to hit me up. I'm a small shop so I might not always have it in but they're usually pretty quick getting stuff to me when I order it.

I also have a couple Rio Grande t-shirts in Large, retail is $18.00 on these, I'll take $15.00 each shipped.

PM or email me if interested.

  6. Fostex R8 1/4", 8-track reel to reel multitrack tape machine, excellent shape with low hours on it. Set up for Quantegy 499 tape, recently aligned electronics, has rack ears, original owner's manual, AND has the Fostex original remote control extension cable, so you can use the removeable control panel of the machine as a remote/autolocator. Also includes the original factory shipping box and packig materials. This is a really nice tape machine, I prefer it sonically to my ADAT recorders, but I have 16 tracks of those, and this is only 8 tracks, so it hardly ever gets used now. Asking $400 firm on this, or possible trades for pedals worth about this much. This is on the high side for what this machine normally goes for, but most of the ones listed on eBay don't have both the extension cable and the rack mounts, and look dogged-out compared to this one. Photos upon request.

Silvertone 24-fret, 25 1/2" scale rosewood over maple guitar neck with diecast tuning machines. Great shape. This came off a guitar a customer bought off of ebay that someone had pieced together. Too bad they didn't realize the guitar body they had was made for a 21-fret neck. $35.00 shipped in the USA. Photos upon request.

Also, I have a bunch of guitar tab books up on eBay right now, and will be listing more in the next day or so, there are some cool titles in my current listings, everything from the Ranger Doug rhythm guitar book to blink-182 to Def Leppard.

PM me if you have questions or want photos of the neck or the R8.

This machine has low hours on it and works flawlessly. It does have a small blemish on the front panel, like when they silkscreened it they scooted the screen and smeared in instead of lifting it off clean. All the LED's in the meters work fine, none are burnt out (which is a common problem with Fostex meters).

I hate to sell this machine but if I'm not using it I would rather see someone get use of it than it sit and collect dust. These normally go in the 285-325 range on eBay for one in average condition and without all the accessories. I'd like to get 400 firm shipped in the US for mine. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions. If you want to check my references, my username on eBay is "cowabungamusic", or you can feel free to check up on me with the folks on the effects forum here at HC, I've done business with several folks over there. I'd list it on eBay but I'd rather try it here first, maybe I can sell it direct and avoid the eBay fees. Thanks!

I still have this machine, it was set up for Quantegy 499 tape and it has less than a hundred hours on it. I actually prefer it sonically to my ADAT machines, but I have 16 tracks of ADAT's and this machine is only 8 tracks, so it hardly ever gets used. Maybe someone else here would put it to better use. I'd be up for trades if anyone has something they think I'd be interested in. I'd especially be interested in a Zvex Fuzz Factory pedal + cash, or something along the lines of that.

Also, unrelated totally to my tape machine, I have an old Alesis Midiverb II and a MicroLimiter that both need power supplies. They are 9Volt AC and have the 1/8" male plug. If anyone has one of these power supplies and it works and you aren't using it, please PM me if you're interested in parting with it. Thanks!
