  1. The drums are samples which i got off the net, so not sure on those mics.. The guitars were recorded using a single MAudio Nova
  2. How do i get the sequenced drum samples to sound more open, and more forward in the mix?
  3. Thanks for the comments guys. Here is a list of the equipment used : Ibanez RG 270 Boss GT8 Yamaha TA-20 Amplifier (easily 30 years old ) MAudio Nova Behringer Xenyx 802 FLStudio 8 I dont own a bass guitar, so I tried to use the octave effect on the GT8 to mimic a little bass. Would it be better if i used a soundfont instead? Strat Rocker - Im not too sure how to "open" the drums up more. Could you please give me some more advice on this. I tracked the guitars twice, and panned one hard left and the other hard right. Then tried to put the "bass" in the center, and also tried to pan the drums across the audio spectrum. Anything i may have done incorrectly? Thanks again for all the aforementioned comments and suggestions
  4. Here is a link to the mix http://www.box.net/shared/hncemq58gg
  5. I recently recorded a track and posted it on garageband.com A couple of reviewers said that it sounded too "clean" and there was too much production on it. The problem is that there was very little production on the track other than mixing the instruments together so everything fitted, applying some eq's to seperate the instruments and then doing a little mastering. The reviewers mentioned that it LACKED "mudiness" which a lot of DIY bands need to get rid of. Is this a problem anyone has experienced. If so any thoughts on what the problems may be, or anything i may have done wrong? Thanks in advance
