  1. Unknown outside of Quebec but a true master composer and player of acoustic guitar : Serge Fiori. He put out 3 albums in the 70's with a group called Harmonium If you can find this music, it is well worth a listen...a lot of 12 string guitars. The first two albums are all acoustic with no drums. And, yes, it is in French but mostly instrumental. Interesting that you mention Serge Fiori. He's a great rhythm player. I have all the Harmonium albums (on vinyl)!
  2. Some Garrisons develop cracks because the plastic bracing expands/contracts at different rates from the body woods. Humidification helps. Garrisons are no longer made. Gibson bought the factory, and produced their low-end "Songmaker" series there. The factory is no longer operating.
  3. A friend bought one new in 1983 or '84. Still has it. A fine instrument (almost as good as my Guild;)
