  1. I've been on the AMD side of things for a couple years, I'm not trying to change your mind or anything I'm just saying recently I've been looking into getting an Intel Dual Core chip myself. I kinda am up on things still but what I did was go to Newegg and read some of the reviews on the various motherboards and cpus to see what people are buying and what they are having trouble with. From what I've seen not too much has changed....get an Asus or MSI or another well known brand name motherboard like that and it all kinda falls into place as far as what chipset to get on it once you're sure of which cpu you want to get. The one good thing about going Intel is that you don't need to bother with any other chipset. I know nVidia is into the chipsets for Intels and they work great but my 2 cents is that I've always had great success with Intel chipsets when I've had Intel cpus. Hope that helps out somewhat....
