  1. same here. Amazed at how much guitar $80 gets you. Love the cosmo black nickel hardware which was primarily why I bought it to use on one of my other guitars.

Just got mine in today. No sharp fret ends, action is relatively low, and I can't find a ding on the body anywhere. She does have a little bit of fret buzz on the lower E string, going to set her up properly later. Plugged it in, and (so far) I'm very impressed with the sound... The neck pickup is OK, but the bridge pickups is surprisingly full and well defined! I was expecting a muddy or tinny mess, but the humbucker sings very well through my vibro-champ and thug. These are just first impressions, but I feel it's a bargain for $80 shipped.

  2. that's the thing the reviews you posted the link to is for the 400 watt T2 and the one on Amazon is the T2HL 100 watt version. The review I read, the guy made clear the T2HL that crapped out on him was the silver painted front with chicken head knobs and a BLUE T2 logo that lights up, not the black panel T2 with the green lit logo (400w T2 head). Apparently they are different enough quality wise for one person. Not sure I want to gamble with close to $400 on something sketchy.

    I'm pretty sure you wouldn't.
Here is 4 reviews at MF
    I don't see anything worrisome.

  3. Interested in the Randall T2 head since I missed out on the modular 20w head last week. Only thing is the T2 100 watt head I've only found one review and they gave it 2 stars saying they played it for 20 minutes and then the volume diminished to less than a whisper. Turned it off and on and same result. They sent it back and got a replacement and the same problem occurred. Not sure I'd be cool if I got something that craps out after 20 minutes.

  4. Called m123 to price match the SDOTD Gibson RD and they would match but not beat it. I pointed out their policy that used to have to beat it by 110% and then the current 10% and he put me on hold and then came back saying they can't beat it since it is their sister company which ticked me off as I told him you can't have it both ways. The other day I had a customer service rep on the phone and they couldn't look up my MF order when I called M123. They said they are still "Different" and "Independant" companies under the same umbrella. Now this guy is saying since they are the same company they can't price match themselves. Utter BS!!!

I would have asked if he could go for an extra 10-15% off just for asking but I knew after he put me on hold for 5 minutes he'd come back and say the SDOTD was almost too low for them to match as it was and 10% would be under their cost.... So I didn't bother. Still on the fence on whether or not to buy.

  5. thanks for that. I got a refund when I bought at $99-10% july11deal promo. I tried to get them to apply the 10% off promo I used on the original order which I would think should still apply as if there was a 10% promo code valid today I could buy the guitar for $79 and then minus the 10% promo off of that. se a promo code but not both. That's BS as I have done it before. Oh well, either way good deal, cool guitar!

  6. I have 4 emails from Richard. One specifically saying the new ones "are trickling in" and will be sent out asap. He also emailed to ask if I wanted to back out once it was known they only had black ones they were going to be getting back in. I said I ordered white and he offered to make it right by refunding $50 off the black one. Well I received shipping confirmation Saturday but no tracking #. I call today as I never received any updated email with shipping progress. Last night the website still had black RR24s showing with "Limited Quantity" next to the add to cart button. I hope Richard will give a comparable deal for the same $$$. It seems like I've done this before. Hmmmmm.

  7. Very awesome!!!! Are those yellow bevels or white? I thought I missed out when I was checking the Sam Ash site on Monday and then saw the "SOLD OUT" message. I waited a day but then remembered I was able to buy those Ernie Ball strings that time they had that great deal on them even though they were sold out.

I was still able to add the RR24 to my cart and it said "back ordered". It shows both the 10% promo code and the 50thanks discount so for $495 hopefully once they come back in stock mine will ship. I love the maple necks and not sure why Jackson hasn't given the option for Maple fretboards on more models considering how well the DK2M has sold which is a large part because of it being the only Maple boarded Jackson guitar.

I'm getting jerked around now. Got shipping confirmation and then today when I called for an actual tracking # they told me my ordered was canceled. The customer service guy I was corresponding with via email assured me I was getting one even when it was listed as backordered. The guy I was dealing with is out today so I will be talking to him tomorrow. I want a RR24 in any color for the same price. If they weasel out of this one I will be pissed.

  8. Great deal! Love the black on maple board!

Fusion, I may be wrong but aren't all the Phil Collen sigs maple too?

Very true, I keep forgetting they still sell that model. Do they still make the import PC3 though? The PC1 is quite pricey.

  10. A necks not going to warp with no tension and the truss rod being loose. Thats common knowledge at least I thought it was. Fusion one you still playing a fool. I'm a fool too about a lot of things myself.

But you're the one that just contradicted what you just said:

"However, you shouldn't completely detune the guitar or remove the strings--guitars are designed to have tension on the neck from strings, so completely depriving your instrument of that tension is a bad idea. Just detune the guitar slightly."

No, it is not a bad idea if the truss rod is loosened. Or are you still against that idea as well?
