They're cheap enough, and light enough to carry to gigs. Why not?

It depends on how you wire them up, I think.
If you have a single speaker then it'll have to be 8?. If you have two 4? speakers wired in series the load will be 8?. I dunno about wiring them in parallel. Go see what it says on your speakers. -
As long as it's an 8? cab then you're fine.

I had the 600 and sold it, just couldn't get a sound out of it I liked. Bought a Pathfinder and haven't looked back.

I have the latter and find I have to turn it up to about 8 before it sounds any good but then it's kind of too loud (as an at home amp) It also seems to struggle with low notes, they all just kind of merge into one muffled vibration. Is that just a small amp thing? -
