  1. All in all I find it the perfect starter and the perfect choice for studio sessions and live gigs at the local pub or bar. Basically there isn't anything that it can't do ATLEAST descently that I've seen. I saw a photo of the Shiny Toy Guns (Former) Bassist Carah Faye Charnow using this bass (it was black) live. So it can more than take what ever you throw at it. Overall I'm happy I bought it and am really finding no reason to trade up just yet even after all this time I find I haven't outgrown it and really I'm just planning to get a new bass cause I want to have another bass to play around with I don't really need it. Hell, once i learn how to work my dumb Tascam DP-01 I'll upload material for my bands first cd. Sure this bass isn't a Fender or a Ibanez or even a Attitude model Yamaha but, this thing can beat your ass!
  2. I think to end this I'll just say that if your looking for a cheap good and sturdy pedal then you should snag it I mean what can a $200 pedal do any better than this $50 one? I'll answer nothing but, looks. IMO this pedal is the best pedal around for what it does. And it does Distortion and Overdrive so what do you want? You want this.
  3. (Once again) I've been playing around 1 year and a half it's my first bass amp and it's very good at what I use it for. Is it good for what I need it for? Yes. Is it good for what I want it for? Yes. Do I want another if I lost it or someone stole it? NO. First of all I never wanted this amp I really wanted a Crate 15 watter but, unfortuanetly the store was out so I had to make do. Personally someday I will get that Crate 15 watter and sell this one. Finally to end this I'd like to point out to beginners: You will not find a better amp under $150.00 this is a great amp. In time you'll grow accustomed to it and with that knowledge you'll be better prepared in buying a REAL amp because you'll know what works for you and what you can make work for you.
  4. I am really looking around for bass distortion pedals. But, figured that instead of looking for a $100.00 and up for bass specific distortion pedals. I'd just ask you guys for a good Heavy Metal Distortion. I'm a pedal vigin I got a RBX170 Yamaha bass passive four string. That and just $100.00 dollars. Hope this helps you help me.

  6. Well I imagene if a pickup is destroyed it would mean get another pair which would mean for to to buy another RBX 170. Which whouldn't be worth it. Atleast not for the pickups but, for the bass Hell Yeah! I've been playing for approx. 1 month. Nothing it's my 1st instrument. I love the pickups versatility and their sound and the fact that I don't have to by batteries for them cause their passive. But, I hate that I can't by them for my other (FUTURE) basses. I am not at liberty to say it's better than others cause I don't know. Nothing can be added to something that I feel is already great. I think I found that sound. I found out that I really love passives sound and their no need for batteries is a awesome plus. If anyone has time go out and try a Yamaha RBX-170. If you love passive pickups and are searching for a P+J set you have found it.
  7. I am a beginner a real beginner. Less than a month of experience. I am not gonna compare it to basses cause I never really have. YET. So wait. I love everything about this Bass. It is my baby. If anyone ever stole it I'd be pissed. Really pissed. I only wish I bought a tuner but, that's another story. Now to any beginners thinking of Squier DON'T belive me. My parents wanted me to get that Squier Affinity P Bass pack instead of this. No Way! I suggest this bass. Why Pros: Good hardware, great play ability, and Versatile pickups Cons: Not backed by a popular Company like Fender, Ibanez, or Squier. But, all that aside beginners don't even know what they want in a bass I know I didn't. So get one that you want is in your price range and will be able to let you play comfortably. If your short chances are you don't need that long, heavy, Fender Jazz with the $800 price tag. So get this. It's light, cool, and affordable. I belive it's the easiest choice any beginner can make. Plus it's only $180!!!!!!
