  1. a couple of pending trade offers, but still up for grabs!- bump!
  2. thanks for the compliment! I looked underneath the bridge pickup, and it turns out that guy is a Duncan '59 - so we have a Gibson 57 and a duncan 59 (sorry, I had previously only looked at the neck pup) - This, coupled with the fact that I REALLY REALLY want a hofner archtop currently on the bay, and I'm dropping it to a ridiculous $1200 shipped. I know the economy is hurting, but this is just ridiculous!
  3. thanks for the offer Jimi, but I'm not really a fan of the burstbucker pro pickups. A great guitar i'm sure, but not really what I'm looking for. Anyone have anything cool? money is also cool...
  4. MAJOR PRICE DROP! now 1400 Shipped and pp'd! (i'll take an echeck if possible to mitigate fees) there's an archtop electric I'm after - i don't want her to get away!
  5. Ha! When I first saw it, I thought "no!" but after picking it up, I looked at my buddy and we both nodded. Yeah, it feels great, fits my (kinda large) paws perfectly. The look definately adds to a look, say, if you were to wear a cowby outfit on stage Here she is among the much pricier (now gone) competition: http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/1153/guitarfamily010.jpg
  6. A few pictures of the guts and freshly polished frets/fingerboard- http://img513.imageshack.us/i/dsc05350.jpg/ http://img18.imageshack.us/i/dsc05352e.jpg/ http://img98.imageshack.us/i/dsc05353p.jpg/ http://img17.imageshack.us/i/dsc05357v.jpg/ the frets are Dunlop med-jumbo - worth mentioning. Smooth as can be- $1500 and I will pay the shipping/ eat them fees.
  7. I like to think it more resembles my buddies guitar, but without the mortgage loan his required:lol::
  8. Actually I have the invoice from the original owner - he paid 2600 for it - we met at a local rock climbing gym and I ended up buying this guitar and a few boutique pedals from him when he had his hours cut back. I paid 1500. I'm asking what I paid, but hey, feel free to make a (reasonable) offer. The only change it's had from stock was I replaced the tuners with locking tuners, but it came with grover keystones. The planet waves ones were the only locking tuner I could find that fit the same hole diameter. So to answer your question, no this isn't a cheap import guitar. EDIT: Luthier's name is Michael Bazinic fwiw
  9. i dunno, my white falcon holds her own! really though, i forgot to describe the sounds a bit (!) - the gibby 57's are excellent pickups, not quite as raunchy as the equivalent burstbuckers, but very smooth, clean, and with a SHIMMERY high end. sparkles/sustains more than my es-135, but with the same character- I play through a vox handwired ac-15 with a blue btw-
  10. I was in no way offended! sorry if that's what came off- I was responding to noahd's question anyway. I'm sure it's not everyone's cup o tea - I was actually glad you asked about the neck - since it can look like it was stained, when it's actually a combination of woods used-
  11. now that's just wrong. those "antoniotsai" guitars are ornaments first, guitars FIFTH (with many other uses in between;)) and the neck is mostly maple, with center stripe and headstock wings of honduran hog, and it is completely neck through BUT on the back body underneath the main neck you can see it transitions inversely with a slender layer of walnut and maple. wow.
  12. she's nice, but it would take a very special guitar for me to trade for a solid-body- I like me my feedback-
  13. BUMP for LOW price - and new pics!
  14. honestly... it's the es-135 i own that has the same 57s (installed em myself - I like the semi hollow feedback I can get - the SG sounds great sure, but I can't make her feedback like the 135, which is a big part of my sound - and I don't want to keep around the guitar just because it looks great. ok - incredible.
