I use a Boss DS1 and/or SD1 after my standard Crybaby Wah and it works great and is extremely noticeable.

They're all named "That One". As in, give me that one. I'll play that one.

Squier Double Fat Telecaster Deluxe from 2001. Before and after photos. Got it from a CL seller on 3/19/17, for $200 that included guitar, gator hardshell case, Stageline locking stand, and two sets of D'Add strings.

.38 cal fits perfect. Just big enough so they don't fall out.

Pickup came from the guitar and so did the pot. Wired direct. I made the covers on the back. They're from the same piece of wood, side by side, and the sanding and staining were at the same time from the same can and yet we have a few colors. I bought GFS turners for it. These are the ones for 12 strings mounted on a single steel plate. They work fine. I was still working on the nut when this photo was taken. It's now complete and glued into place with the end sanded to fit the neck instead of sticking out. This the extra neck I got in the initial deal and not the one that came on the guitar. The holes were stripped and I drilled it out and used larger screws instead of hard wood inserts. Some of the fretboard finish was messed up so I had to sand it spray poly on it and buff it out. I put a TUSQ nut on it and as you see it here it weighs 4.4 pounds.

This is the third coat of clear. A few more to get to wet sand and polish.

I'm starting with a stain. This is the second day of drying. The veneer on the top and back is so thin that I couldn't sand any more away without fear of going through it.

This is a 80's/90's Korean Plycaster (Squier II) I got when I bought a box of guitars. I got two Squier bodies and mini guitar and an extra neck. Anyway, I don't know how it's going to end up yet.

Box of Squiers and stuff. Wanted this 20 dollar Squier off the local CL to use test fitting some parts I'm going to machine but it was really crap. I ended up buying a box of guitars for $40. Two whole guitars and two necks and a body. The one I'm going to refinish and try to make a playable guitar is a Squier II from I think the late 80's. It's an HSS that doesn't use a pickguard and known for being plywood of the period. So we'll see what happens. It's a decent Squire II maple neck but its been hacked on. I've scalloped part of a neck before and this one has some deep scratches on the 13th fret so I'm going to scallop it from the 13th fret down and apply a gloss. There's an affinity body and neck but it's a {censored} guitar. Body has splits in it and the truss is missing the adjustment end and two of the neck screw holes are striped. Which is a shame because otherwise its a very pretty Squier neck with nice fretwork. I'm going to repair the body for practice and put the other maple neck on it. That neck isn't a squier neck and the truss rod still adjusts. I think I'm going to replace the frets on that for practice and see if I can get it set up properly. I'm quite excited about doing that. The mini guitar I'm going to make into some sort of EVH tiny guitar thingy. Lots of winter work to look forward to.

Nice tele in deed.

I've been flying that flag for 15 years now. Makes me smile. The Affinity Tele and Strat are made of alder like the American versions. They sound better than the $300 and $400 upgrade Squiers being put out now too.

Sweet guitar. I have Stagemaster and the pots get scratchy as well. I've found that working them for a while will get rid of the scratch while sitting to play but it will be back after is sits a bit.

This is my Stagemaster and back in 01 or 02 when I bought it I did so because I wanted to try a Floyd Rose on the cheap. Mars Music was going out of business and I got it for $150. $100 off new in the box. I really liked it and still do. Super action, sounded great too. Years have gone by and along the way I still wanted a Stagemaster with the neck through design and every so often I'd check places etc. to try and pick one up. 3 years ago I had a shot at Sam Ash in Richmond Va. but didn't because it was $125. I thought it was a little to beat up for that price and passed on it. Since then I've notice that prices on both have continued to rise and I thought what the heck is going on here. In fact for nice examples they are commanding more than the original selling price. Come to find out, these were not your cheapo Squier guitars people were complaining about back then. THe body is alder. The Licensed Floyd Rose has a brass sustain block and the pickups are potted and actually sound good. Mine came out of the box set up very well and still has the lowest string action of all my guitars without buzzing. If you find the models with serial numbers starting with CY01..... I highly recommend trying to pick it up, especially if it's on the cheap. It also came in a 7-string Floyd version and it to has the brass sustain block.

The important thing is that you like it. Nice.
