Panel Discussion with the METAlliance
& Pensado's Place Live
New York, NY, AES 2017 - Visitors to the 143rd International AES Convention in New York will enjoy the many workshops, tutorials, and exhibits for audio professionals. Two events this year deserve a special notice:
On Thursday, Oct. 19, at 9:30 am, Hal Leonard will proudly present "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow: Where We've Been, Where We Are, and Where We're Going," a live panel discussion featuring six founding members of the METAlliance, in room 1E14.
Audio engineers and producers Chuck Ainlay, Ed Cherney, Frank Filipetti, George Massenburg, Elliot Scheiner, and Al Schmitt will discuss how their experiences influence their current work and how they see the industry and their craft evolve in the future.
Hal Leonard and the METAlliance have begun publishing the collective knowledge amassed by these A-list producers and engineers under the METAlliance Academy brand. The product line includes A/V tutorial courses, print and ebooks, Power Learning Digital Print versions of these books, and in-person workshop events. This panel discussion will give AES visitors a first taste of what's to come under the METAlliance Academy brand.
On Friday, Oct. 20, at 10:15 am, Hal Leonard will proudly present a live episode of Pensado's Place featuring the inimitable Greg Wells in room
1E15/16!
Join Dave and Herb for a special live version of their globally popular web TV series with special guest Greg Wells! Producer, songwriter, musician, and mixer extraordinaire, Greg has produced such luminaries as Keith Urban, Katy Perry, Adele and One Republic.
A staunch educational advocate, Greg is currently working on his first endeavor for the Pensado's Strive curriculum series, a Hal Leonard/Penwick media collaboration featuring relevant, best-in-class authors who are enormously committed to education and giving back.
