Sonic Network, Inc., makers of Sonic Implants sound libraries, announced the availability of it's popular Silk Road collection for Soundfont users in both CD-ROM and downloadable versions. Previously, the product had only been available in Gigasampler and Kurzweil formats.
Soundfont fans will be able to add the mystery of the Orient to their latest compositions with the release of Sonic Implants' new CD, Silk Road, Middle Eastern Melodic & Percussion Instruments - Soundfonts. The very name, Silk Road, inspires visions of camel caravans traversing the 7,000-mile trading route between the west and the ancient orient, winding through China, Central Asia, Northern India, Parthian and Roman Empires (the current countries of China, India, Iran, Iraq, Persia & Syria) to the sun-kissed shores of the Mediterranean. The popular trade route blended culture, music, art and religion for centuries.
The new Sonic Implants release, with samples performed by Middle Eastern musicians, captures the authentic melodic and percussion instruments from the Middle East. "We've included extra help for users who are new to these sounds," said Peter Drawbridge, Sound Designer at Sonic Network, Inc. "There are seven pages of printed documentation explaining the history and use of these instruments and the CD also includes Percussion Loops and Melodic Improvisations for composers to either use in their pieces or help with the style." he added.
The Silk Road, Middle Eastern Instruments CD-ROM is priced at $249.95. The Silk Road download products for soundfonts are broken up into percussion and melodic categories and are taken directly from the Silk Road CD-ROM. Download prices range from $29.95 to $59.95.
