TC Works Releases PowerCore 1.5 for Mac and PC

TC PowerCore Version1.5, the open DSP hardware platform for any VST or MAS recording application on Mac and PC is available now. Registered PowerCore users can download the new software for free from the TC Works website and the new version will be in stores December 7th, 2001.

Any TC PowerCore can be used on Mac and PC - all that's required for PC support is the new software! Version 1.5 introduces the "PowerCore Instruments" format, allowing for virtual instruments also running on the card.

The included software package provides an extensive collection of 18 DSP Tools. With approximately 40% less native CPU-load per PowerCore Plug-In, PowerCore 1.5 optimizes host performance even further. Since version 1.0, the card includes the industry standard FX-package TC Tools -- featuring technology from TC Electronic's hi-end hardware products like the M5000 Reverb, TC1210 Modulation FX and Finalizer EQ Section.

Version 1.5 adds a host of new Plug-Ins and tools:

TC VoiceStrip is a complete channel strip for voice sound processing, formerly part of the VoiceTools package for Pro Tools. This Plug-In includes Vintage Compression, DeEssing, a special 3 Band Voice-EQ, Gate, Lo Cut EQ TC SoftSat saturation for analog emulation.

The highly efficient TC VintageCL employs a different compression algorithm from TC VoiceStrip - emulating the behaviour of industry-standard analog compression, aiming at general purpose rather than specific applications. You can run up to 24 of these versatile Compressor/Limiter Plug-Ins on your PowerCore. And the vintage compression model brings back the sound of analog hi-end compressors.

TC POWERCORE 01, a monophonic virtual analog synth, will be available to registered users as a free download by end of December, it is the first of a new kind of virtual instrument Plug-Ins, interfacing with VST -- but running the DSP code on the card, again freeing up a lot of native CPU for other processes!

Until March 1st, 2002, MasterX3, the virtual version of the industry standard Finalizer mastering processor, is included in a time-limited introductory offer. Now PC Users can also benefit from an included Finalizer.
