Wave Digital has received certification from music industry software manufacturers including Cakewalk, Emagic, Lexicon, Sonic Foundry and Steinberg to pre-configure their programs on Wave Distributions new StudioPC line of music production computers.

StudioPC is a line of IBM-compatible computers individually designed to each customers specifications. Customers can choose from a variety of hardware and software options to meet the needs of any music production scenario. Using the customer specified hardware and software, Wave Digital pre-configures, optimizes and tests the workstation so that it will be up and running quickly and with minimum effort.

"Certification from all of the major manufacturers lets the industry know that we are building and delivering a quality product," explains Gil Griffith, president of Wave Distribution. "The concept of offering pre-configured, custom computers specifically for music production is now a reality and is endorsed by the software developers. Our StudioPC line will assist them in selling their software to music professionals who do not have the time, patience, or knowledge to set-up their own music production workstation."

Wave Digital is following the success model of companies, such as Dell and Gateway, who offer custom pre-configured computers to homes and businesses around the world. Wave Digital is unique in offering custom pre-configured computers designed specifically for music production. By calling the factory in Ringwood, New Jersey or visiting the Wave Digital Web page at www.wavedigital.com, the consumer can design, and receive a quote for, a music production PC workstation from a number of hardware and software options.

The StudioPC is designed from the ground-up as a hard disk recording digital audio workstation. Features include: separate hard drives for the operating system and the music files, separate AGP (Advanced Graphics Processor) video bus (frees up PCI sockets for maximum channel capability), dual-channel Adaptec Ultra2 SCSI cards, fast Synchronous DRAM (up to 1 gigabyte), ATX Desktop, Tower or Rack Mount chassis with "SMART" advanced power management and 250 watt Ultra-Quiet power supply.

The system comes pre-configured for such programs as Digidesign's Pro Tools for Windows NT, Steinberg's Cubase VST|24, Emagic's Logic Audio, Cakewalk, and more. It includes all associated drivers configured to the manufacturer's specifications for optimum performance and trouble free operation. Simply install the manufacturers software or hardware key and you'll be up and running in a matter of minutes. Experience the audio clarity, power, and performance that you have come to expect from the leading software manufacturers in the industry without the headaches of configuring the PC yourself.

Options include: desktop, tower or rack-mount chassis, CD recorders, DVD drives, Iomega Zip or Jaz drives, up to 50 gigabyte DAT tape back-up drives, removable SCSI hard drives (for storing sessions), internal hard drives up to 36 gigabytes, modems, network cards and extended service contracts.
