Reality 1.5 Now Shipping

Seer Systems is now shipping the eagerly anticipated version 1.5 of its Reality professional synthesizer and sampler software. Reality turns a Pentium PC into a fullfeatured, extremely versatile synthesizer. New to version 1.5 are greatly expanded soundcard support, more extensive synthesis capabilities including new high order filters and physical models, and access to thousands of new sounds via SoundFont 2.0 support. Reality 1.5 also features an expanded sound library and SeerMusic support.

Seer Music enables a musician to compose with Reality and his or her favorite sequencer and then broadcast it as CD-quality streaming music anywhere in the world. SeerMusic's proprietary technology allows for super fast downloads, even with connection speeds of 28.8 or less.

"We have almost doubled the power of the original Reality," explained David Roach, Seer Systems Vice President of Operations. "You can now have up to 128-note polyphony, access to the huge catalog of SoundFont samples, and the ability to import and play standard MIDI sequences."

Reality 1.5 is a PC-based synthesizer with 128-note polyphony and very low latency for live performance, sequencing, hard disk recording, and other uses. Reality utilizes five synthesis techniques including analog, sampling, physical modeling, and FM that can be combined in different ways to create spectacular new sounds. At $495 suggested retail price, Reality provides the power of hardware-based samplers and synthesizers ten to twenty times the price.
