Pocket Fuel announces the release of two new volumes of their acclaimed drum-loop CD-ROM series: Rhythmic Architectural Design Systems (RADS). RADS Volume 2 and 3 will boast an all new multi-track architecture - the first of it's kind-for today's digital audio workstations.

Volume 2 Multi-Track Drum-Loops contains hundreds of drum grooves with seven independent drum tracks (individual sound files). Tracks one and two are the Kick drum and snare drum, tracks three and four are a stereo pair of overheads, tracks five and six are a pair of room mics and track 7 is a special bottom end room track. With seven independent tracks, the user can easily manipulate to better fit any musical style. Each performance contains two measures of straight time followed by a third measure of time with the HiHat removed. This measure supports users who choose to employ their own complimentary cymbal sounds or any of the hundreds found on Volume 3.

The best way to use Volume 2 or 3 is to select a section of a loop in a digital multi-track editor, blend the levels of the individual tracks to the desired sound and mix them down to create a new custom loop. Virtually millions of new loops can be created by combining two different multi-track loops or individual samples.

RADS Volume 3 Multi-Track HiHats And Rides contains four independent instrument tracks (sound files): two overhead tracks and a stereo pair of room tracks. Four different ride cymbals and two different hihats were used during the recording session to offer a large selection of sounds. The ride cymbals remain constant at two measures a loop, while the hihat performances vary in length. Each hihat loop starts at a soft dynamic and continues for several measures to its loudest. This works exceptionally well for choosing a desired performance dynamics without having to audition dozens of different loops.

In addition to the wide variety of drum and cymbal loops, each RADS Volume comes with a collection of individual instrument samples for fine tuning custom loops. Another feature is the of the RADS series is Pocket Fuel's exclusive Identification System (ID-GRID), designed for easily locating or identifying loops visually, without the need for auditioning. All sounds were recorded with state of the art 24 bit technology, including Apogee's UV22. Using this technology made it possible to encode 24 bit digital audio information into 16 bit format.
