Alvarez Yairi has announced the introduction of three jumbo-sized acoustic guitars to the Alvarez Yairi Tonewoods series, for the player seeking deep low end balanced with a natural high end.
The Alvarez Yairi JY84 ($1599.00 list) is a jumbo-sized acoustic guitar featuring a solid spruce top matched to solid Coral Rosewood sides and back with a natural gloss finish. The mahogany neck features snowflake/cats-eye inlays set in an ebony fingerboard with goldplated tuning machines. The body features multi layer binding with abalone shell inlaid around the soundhole rosette with an ebony direct coupled bridge.
The Alvarez Yairi JY84C ($1999.00 list) is a jumbo-sized acoustic guitar with a cutaway, allowing easy access to the upper frets, making it particularly useful for lead work. The JY84C shares the same features as the JY84 with the addition of an Alvarez System 600T preamp system. Providing a broad range of sonic control and mixing capability by allowing the player to utilize different combinations of piezo, magnetic and microphone transducers, the Alvarez System 600T was designed to offer the finest acoustic guitar tone reproduction available and features the added convenience of an on-board digital chromatic tuner.
The Alvarez Yairi JY84-12 ($1899.00 list) is a twelve string acoustic guitar sharing the same features as the JY84. The jumbo body lends itself particularly well to the twelve string format, by producing a deep low end balanced by the chime of the upper harmonics.
The Alvarez Yairi Tonewoods guitars are built by hand utilizing solid woods traditionally known for their tone and beauty, and feature the unique direct coupled bridge that enhances volume, tone and sustain by allowing top vibrations to be maximized.
Alvarez Yairi guitars are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
