IK Multimedia announced the creation of their AmpliTube AmpliTube already supports all the other Windows platforms, including RTAS, HTDM, and VST.

AmpliTube plug-in adds a galaxy of sounds to studios and live performances by offering guitar amps, stomp-boxes and post effects in one powerful package. Its amp module uses modeling techniques based on the world's most sought-after amps, including Marshall, Fender, Vox, Mesa and many more. A 32-bit floating point processing ensures accurate amp emulation and offers incredible realism for every sound from solid state to true tube amp modeling. Microphone modeling (condenser/dynamic), position and distance are also included to ensure the most accurate emulation and to expand the flexibility of the Amp module.

AmpliTube's friendly format and pro features offer more than 1260 astonishing amp combinations. That's more than any other hardware or software allows. Plus, AmpliTube is the only simulator that allows you to create amp chemistry by combining models based on a Fender Super Reverb's Pre Amp and EQ with a VOX AC30 Amp AND a Marshall 4x12" cabinet. By using a low latency audio card, AmpliTube can give live performances the big-stack sound and sensation without the heavy lifting.

AmpliTube's 10 stomp and rack-style effects give you the tools to create original sounds without plugging in extra gear. All of the classic effects are on board, including Opto-Tremolo and a vintage Spring Reverb. AmpliTube comes with 200 presets, covering all classic amp & guitar sounds (and even bass presets), and more. Presets are fully editable, so you can create original sounds, save them and get them back with a single click. Dozens of additional presets available direct from IK's Web site -- for free!

AmpliTube adds flexibility to any studio. It helps guitarists and others create an almost unlimited array of high-quality sounds. With powerhouse distortion and saturation, this plug-in is also an excellent tool for adding distinctive tones and effects to vocals, keyboards, loops and synth sounds.

    Compatibility and Pricing

AmpliTube is available for all major recording platforms, like VST (MAC/PC) for Cubase and Logic, DX for Cakewalk Sonar and RTAS/HTDM plug-in (MAC/PC) for Digidesign Pro Tools LE and TDM (HD compatible). Only one box, only one price for all versions ($399/ € 439/ £279).

Product shipping is expected to start in February 2003.
