The Winter NAMM show brought a brand new USB-based audio interface that will also function as a standalone 24-bit A/D converter.

Supporting both Macs and PCs with a USB port, the Duo provides recording of line and mix level inputs, and will also provide phantom power. Gain controls and pads are also available for tweaking your levels. Global outputs can be switched between +4db and 10db.

The front panel of the Audiosport Duo also features a Direct Monitor button so you can listen to your inputs directly, bypassing the computer, eliminating any latency. A headphone output is also included.

The Audiosport Duo is also capable of operating without a computer, providing 24-bit analog-to-digital conversion with support for sample rates up to 96kHz. The S/PDIF output will work with 16-, 20-, and 24-bit devices.

    The Duo Provides

    • 2 Mic inputs and 2 Balanced 1/4 TRS inputs.
    • A stereo pair of mic preamps.
    • First gain stage of 40db, second gain stage of 30db.
    • 48V phantom power
    • -20db Pad button for each Mic input
    • Zero-latency direct monitoring, greatly simplifying the process of recording and overdubbing.
    • Multitrack recording and mixing without PCI card installation
