    By Guest |

Headspace Inc, a creator of technologies and original content for music and sound to the Web, today announced the addition of two new volumes to its RMF Music Collections. A blend of MIDI and custom digital samples, RMF (Rich Music Format) was developed by Headspace as an interactive music format for the web. RMF Music Collections may be licensed from Headspace to add music and sound to websites.

The two newest additions to the RMF collections are Vol. IX "Atmospheres" and Vol. X "Moods," priced at $49.95 each. The collections be used in any configuration throughout a Web page and played back through the Beatnik Plug-in (downloadable at no charge from www.headspace.com/beatnik/).

Headspace RMF volume IX, Atmospheres, is a new direction utilizing the power of RMF's ability to use custom digital audio samples combined with control, flexibility and small size of MIDI. From lush ambient soundscapes such as 'rainforest', 'mystical cave', spacecraft' and 'netherworld' all the way to everyday life backgrounds such as 'busy bar', 'sports' and 'money', these Atmospheres can be used in multiple ways.

Headspace RMF volume X, Moods, is a collection of fifteen cinematic 'moods' or themes that evoke specific feelings and images. Featuring such useful moods as 'anticipation', 'grandeur', 'mystical', 'curious' and more. Moods can be used to impart a specific feel to a web page or home page and can be combined with present and future Atmospheres to create dozens of different sonic and musical combinations.

Headspace's stylish music collections are custom-designed for the Web, and range from classical Baroque to jungle/ambient, with cool sounds composed by Headspace's expert creative staff. Known for their lightning-quick downloads and groove-oriented electronic /alternative styles, the small RMF files are perfect for sonifying user interactions, ad banners and button clicks.

The entire series of Headspace RMF Music collections are available for preview and licensing at http://www.headspace.com/beatnik/index.html?collections/index.html.
