    The ES-335 in Translucent Red
The classic ES-135 and ES-335 archtop guitars from Gibson are receiving a new look with the introduction of the new USA limited edition models.

The limited edition ES-135 features the PAF '57 humbucking pickups, rather than the P-100's on the standard models, which can range from singing clean to fat rhythm sounds. The neck profile matches that of the maple 1959 rounded Les Paul. Four different finishes will be offered on the limited edition ES-135: with gold hardware, Wine Red and Natural, and with chrome hardware, Vintage Sunburst and Ebony. All make use of Grover tuners and have a white body binding.

The new thin-body ES-335 models deviate from the norm as far as looks go. They feature a 22-fret ebony fingerboard with small block perloid inlay (rather than rosewood with dot inlay), but with the same neck style, taken from the 1960 slim taper Les Paul. The three finishing option offered on the limited edition models are Translucent Blue, Natural, and Translucent Red, with a more modern black binding. The electronics on-board are still the standard dual '57 humbuckers.
