Godlyke Inc. of New Jersey has been named as the exclusive North American distributor for the Bixonic Expandora. ZZ Top, Bush, and Helmet are among the artists who have used this Japanese-made distortion pedal, which has been unavailable in the U.S. for several years.

Housed in a unique cylindrical, brushed aluminum chassis with engraved graphics, The Expandora features GAIN, TONE, and LEVEL controls; EFFECT BYPASS switch; EFFECT LED indicator; and 9-volt battery or AC adapter operation. The Expandora also features two internal DIP switches which can be used to alter the unit's gain structure. Using these DIP switches in conjunction with the Expandora's other controls can yield a virtually limitless variety of distorted tones. The Expandora is dynamically sensitive, allowing users to vary the amount of distortion by backing off on their instrument's volume control.

The Expandora's DIP switches and battery can be easily accessed via the unit's backplate, which is held in place by a single self-retaining screw. The Expandora comes with a one-year full parts and labor warranty. List price for the Expandora is $229.
