Featuring a brand new look and new technology base, the DigiTech RP-2000 is an amp modeling effects processor utilizing two high-power DSP processing engines. Offering ten amp models, two pickup models, two acoustic guitar simulations, three cabinet simulations with ten selectable mic positions, full featured compression and a fine arsenal of effects, the RP-2000 is the next step for DigiTechs RP Series as it enters the next millennium.
One of the most striking features of the RP-2000 is its new look. The rugged stainless steel chassis, cast aluminum treadle and high travel actuators are not only visually appealing, but also heavy duty and roadworthy. The RP-2000s Effect Matrix, with its six-character alphanumeric display and instant effects access, provides a simpler user interface than its predecessors. A new Rhythm Track feature provides 40 drum patterns to aid in rehearsing different musical styles and time signatures. And like other recent RP Series products, the RP-2000 also comes equipped with DigiTechs "Learn-a-Lick" phrase sampler/slower, a chromatic tuner, and all of the companys most popular effects, including a newly enhanced Whammy.
A S/PDIF digital output on the rear panel allows the RP-2000 to connect directly to a multitude of digital recording devices, avoiding multiple A/D and D/A conversions. An XLR Mic In and Out also permit musicians to take advantage of DigiTechs popular "Talker" effects built into the RP-2000.
Other rear-panel connections and controllers include a 1/4-inch unbalanced input, as well as 1/4-inch unbalanced left and right outputs, a 1/4-inch stereo headphone output, output level control, 1/8-inch "Jam-Along"/"Learn-a-Lick"input for patching in a CD or cassette player, MIDI In and Out/Thru jacks, and a power connector.
The suggested U.S. retail price on the RP-2000 is $449.95.
