TekLab Custom Software, a software development firm specializing in building creative software for the music industry, will release A3kDisky for Windows - a unique sample management software tool for users of the Yamaha A3000 Sampler - on December 25, with special pre-release pricing.

A3kDisky allows you to manage your extensive sample library for the Yamaha A3000 Professional Sampler from the comfort of your Windows 95, 98 (or NT) desktop, just as you would navigate and maintain any other disk on your computer.

Any A3k-formatted disk drive (hard disk, Zip, Jaz, etc.) on the computer's SCSI chain can be instantly accessed and manipulated using the tools in A3kDisky, giving the musician powerful sample management capabilities directly from their computer system.

Full sample editing capabilities are provided, including access to individual Sample, Sample Bank, and Program parameters, cut & paste management of files and programs, copying, deleting, Sample Assignment to Program, and Volume management.

Since the editing occurs on the disk files themselves at the native speed of your SCSI bus, using A3kDisky to maintain your sample archives is FAST and convenient. Drag and drop .WAV and .AIFF files straight into new A3k Programs, ready for assignment and editing as native A3k-format samples. Or drag and drop files to your Windows desktop for use with standard sample editing tools.

A3kDisky is available for order now through TekLab's "A3000 Central" web site at http://www.teklab.com/~a3k/ and will ship on December 25. For orders placed before the 24th, A3kDisky will cost $79.95 and be delivered electronically on Christmas day. Afterwards, the retail price will be $149.95. A Mac OS version of A3kDisky is currently in development, and is planned for release in the first quarter, 1999.

TekLab has provided Internet based support services to the online electronic music community since 1996. As a service to this community, TekLab currently hosts a large number of music technology-related mailing list forums, and it was through these lists and forums that the need for a product such as A3kDisky was discovered
