My name is David -- I'm a musician and software engineer finishing up a master's at the MIT Media Lab.

Over the weekend I released Melodrumatic, an open-source audio plugin that lets you use MIDI to pitch-shift via delay (i.e. the Doppler effect) to turn unpitched audio into melodies. I thought it might be of interest to the folks at Harmony Central!

You can download the plugin here: https://github.com/usdivad/Melodrumatic

There's also a video demo here:

The plugin is available in VST3, AU, and AAX formats. New features including additional pitch-shifting techniques as well as support for presets and microtonal MIDI mapping are already in the works.

I'd love to hear the thoughts of the Harmony Central community on the plugin, and look forward to seeing what folks create using it -- thanks so much!
