Roland is proud to announce the TMC-6 MIDI Trigger Converter. The TMC-6 makes it easy for drummers to play MIDI modules and samplers from a Roland electronic drum set or from an acoustic drum set with triggers. This affordable device uses the lightning-fast technology of Roland's V-Drums for reliable triggering and super-accurate dynamics. Giving acoustic drummers access to electronic sounds and V-Drums owners additional trigger inputs, the TMC-6 opens up a world of new possibilities for drummers.

The TMC-6 has six trigger inputs that work with any Roland drum pads, from the entry-level gum rubber pads to the patented mesh-head V-Pads--all it takes is a 1/4-inch cable. Users can conveniently mount the TMC-6 on a conventional drum stand, and it contains 12 user memory locations in which settings can be stored. It also provides a trigger chase on/off switch.

Acoustic drummers who've installed acoustic drum triggers--and V-Drums owners--will find the TMC-6 a great way to incorporate new MIDI sounds, including samples and synth patches. They'll be able to play high-quality drum sounds--and many other kind of sounds--from MIDI instruments such as Roland's Fantom* workstation or XV-5080 module.

V-Drums owners will also appreciate how the TMC-6 adds additional trigger inputs to their kits, allowing them to finally add those extra V-Cymbals and rack toms they've been dreaming of. The TMC-6 supports separate head and rim shot triggering when used with the PD-120 and PD-80R V-Pads, and three-way triggering of CY-15R and CY-12R/C V-Cymbals. It also works with an FD-7 Hi-Hat Control Pedal.
