Novation brings Scale Mode to Launchpad Pro.

Introduced as part of its latest firmware update, Launchpad Pro’s new Scale Mode enables any Ableton Live-based producer – no matter what their level of music theory ability – to play and record perfectly in-key basslines, melodies, chords and leads.

Simply activate Scale Mode to assign Launchpad Pro’s 64 pads contiguously to the notes of one of 32 keys or modes – Major, Minor, Phrygian, Whole Tone, BeBop Minor, Iwato, etc. Seven Overlap options enable the relative positioning of notes on each row to be offset, while Chromatic 4th Mode keeps the pads assigned to the chromatic series but highlights the notes of the selected scale or mode within it.

Scale Mode also works with other DAWs, as well as MIDI-capable hardware synths. Turning Launchpad Pro into an even more expressive musical instrument than ever before, Scale Mode makes bum notes a thing of the past.
