    Now distributed ih the US by Cycling '74, the Eobody analog-to-MIDI device converts analog sensors into MIDI data, allowing a new level of interaction between the body and the computer.

    Engineered jointly by IRCAM and Eowave, a hardware and software developer based in Paris, France, this small and rugged unit features 16 analog inputs with 10 bits of resolution, three assignable potentiometers, and four assignable switches. The unit is fully programmable via MIDI system exclusive and the included Eobody editor.

    Settings for each input include scaling, resolution, zoom, offset, and MIDI message type. Cycling '74 will distribute an introductory package of sensors for the Eobody including pressure, light, movement, and position as well as nine different sensors available for individual purchase.

    System requirements: Computer with MIDI interface, Eobody editor compatible with Mac OS X and Windows XP.

    Pricing and Availability: Eobody is available now for purchase directly from Cycling '74 and sells for $495. The introductory sensor package is $165.
