  • Edirol Debuts UA-25EX 2-Channel USB Audio/MIDI Interface

    By Guest |

EDIROL is pleased to announce the new EDIROL UA-25EX (http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.aspx?ObjectId=970). Designed by Roland's DTMP engineering team, the UA-25EX offers premium sound quality, rugged durability, and complete portability for computer-based audio engineers.

Constructed with high-grade aluminum for the chassis, the EDIROL UA-25EX can withstand hard impacts and is shielded against high-frequency interference from other electrical components. A pair of Neutrik XLR/TRS combo jacks with 48V phantom power, Hi-Z port for guitar direct connection, S/PDIF optical I/O ports and MIDI IN/OUT ports round out the wide range of input and output ports in this compact case.

The EDIROL UA-25EX includes new professional features for the best-sounding recordings possible. The compressor includes variable attack times and threshold control for recording vocals or instruments, and the accompanying limiter prevents clipping noise from occurring. Should a ground loop noise occur, the new ground lift switch eliminates the noise by disconnecting the sleeve pin of the master output from the earth ground.

The bundled CD-ROM includes the latest WDM and ASIO 2.0 drivers for Windows XP and Vista (both 32-bit and 64-bit versions available), and CoreAudio (universal binary) drivers for Mac OSX. Another CD-ROM also comes with the UA-25EX, which includes Cakewalk's Production Plus Pack, a feature-rich recording software bundle consisting of SONAR LE, Project5 LE, and Dimension LE, to get musicians and producers started with PC-based recording.
